DRAFT LOTTO 2016

Post by Sunsfan4life »

No draft lotto thread yet? Surprised.

Could be a big night in Suns history. IMO there is a gap between the 1st 2 picks and picks 3-14. Will luck be on the Suns side? With no consensus 3,4, or 5th pick We should know tonight whether we are debating between 2 guys or about 15. Not only that with alot of tradeable picks, I think where other teams land, like the Celtics and Sixers, may help/hurt the suns ability to explore trades this offseason.

C'mon baby....we're due!!!!
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The Sunsiest thing that could happen would be getting the 3rd pick. So that's probably what happens.

No, the Sunsiest thing would be dropping to 5. I think that's what happens.

This. I'll be vigorously refreshing twitter while at work to get my disappointment started and finished ASAP.

Can somebody please remind me the general % chance that we'll get each of the #1, #2, #3, etc. picks? Where can I find that info?

Practically speaking, I don't think there's a huge difference between us getting 3 and 5.

According to AZcentral, the Suns’ probabilities for the picks in the June 23 draft are:

•No. 1: 11.90 percent;
•No. 2: 12.60 percent;
•No. 3: 13.29 percent;
•No. 4: 9.85 percent;
•No. 5: 35.05 percent;
•No. 6: 16.05 percent;
•No. 7: 1.26 percent
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

We're going to trade the pick for Michael Carter Williams and make him our PF, with Booker at the 3.

Unfortunately I agree that that is the Sunsiest outcome.

It also happens to be both median and mode of the probability distribution.

After watching the 30 for 30 "This Magic Moment" where Orlando had 1 lottery ball and won the lotto to draft Penny, I believe anything can happen.

If the suns don't win it though, I'd like to see the Kings win it only for the Sixers to enact the provision that they acquired last summer in a trade to be able to swap with them for it. What a horrendous trade that was for Sacramento.

Dikembe Mutombo spoiled it for everyone, and tweeted out that the Sixers won the lottery.

Wow. That... shouldn't happen. They take secrecy around this seriously.

I expect the 7th pick. That way I'm not surprised if the worst happens. It is the best way to deal most things regarding the Suns.

Yeah, they don't do the drawing till like an hour before the show or something and everyone is locked in the room with no communication devices.

Although if the Sixers do end up winning, even though they have the best odds, the Dikembe tweet will be great fodder for the media for a week.

I expect Booker to slip on a banana peel and fuck up his leg.
