BTW, I am on board with Giddey. A taller, more athletic Ricky Rubio is how he's being described on another board.

I don't know how our owner/FO/coach can spit out all the cliches about grit and playing hard and hustle and then be like "yea, we're signing Ben Simmons".

Here’s the real next Jason Kidd
Simmons will help you when he's on the court.
However...... his track record for being on the court rivals Joel Embiid's.

Simmons no longer helps even when he is on the court. He has completely lost his competitive mindset. He's mentally fragile, and you absolutely cannot count on him in a tight game.
Giddey > Green > Kuminga
Kuminga is trash, guys. The Warriors make everybody look better than they are, and even there he couldn't get 25 mpg.
I don't think Giddey is the guy for this team in the long term, but I would trade Green for him at the same salary in a heartbeat. I think he would make al of our finishers look better, which would increase their trade value. Plus, we have enough scorers to make him look good and increase his trade value. Our players are our best assets for the foreseeable future, and I think a Booker/Green backcourt is a wasted year in terms of player development and increasing the reputation of our guys around the league.

I've talked myself into being pretty high on Green; I was really hopeful Chris Paul would sign here because I think Green is exactly the type of player that he's elevated in the past. But I think his athleticism and shot creation is something we were sorely missing last year.
To be honest, I like the idea of Giddey and Kuminga here as well. Giddey is being underrated to some extent, he's one of those players that can really facilitate an offense and I don't think he's terrible defensively. Kuminga I'm less sure of, but I do think that he was hampered by a coach that simply did not like the way he played or attitude or whatever. He's definitely one where I think the situation makes all the difference. Are we the right situation? I'm not sure, but he fills a need and would be given an opportunity.

wp, while I'm not high on Green, I am looking forward to the highlights. There will be some exciting moments this season.

Yeah, Green is here to stay, at least this season. So I wouldn't want to trade Green for Giddey but I'm open to a combination of Allen and O'Neale and maybe Richards but my preference is to keep him due to Williams injury history. Regarding Kuminga, I'm just not sure why the Suns would pursue him as he doesn't seem to be a fit defensively although long athletes are something we've been missing.

Yes, something the Suns haven't had for a while. James Jones seemed to shy away from those types of players.

I think Giddey would be good here…I don’t think Chicago really wants to lose him though…they are just trying to get him cheaper.
Kuminga is more of a question mark, but someone I’d take a shot on if the price is reasonable. I think he’s probably not a winning player, but he’s young and you never know.

Oh, good!

Let's just hope he learns from his mistakes. I'd have to think that's a painful experience. Even for a billionaire. So far, so good. We seem to be on a decent path.
