Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Gross, all they've got is KAT. I wouldn't even consider trading rosters with them. Dieng is signed to a long overpriced deal. Teague is meh. Jones is nice and KAT is a stud. Wiggins might be the worst contract in the NBA.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Yeah. I'm much happier with our group even though KAT is the best player on either team.

Who says no?
MIL: They add Butler, Teague, Dieng, Daniels, PHX 2ndR in 2021 for Bledsoe, Brogdon, Maker, Henson, Wilson, 1stR in 2021 (light protection, if any).
They'd take a lot of money, but they'd take a clear step towards competing in the East with a rotation of Teague, Butler, Middleton, Giannis, with C/PF in Brook Lopez, Ilyasova, Dieng. Their depth at the wings would come from Snell and DiVincenzo. Delly at backup PG. Not terrible rotation fillers in Shabazz and Tyler Zeller.
MIN: Butler, Teague, Dieng, in exchange for Bledsoe, Henson, MIL picks in 2019 and 2021, a look at Maker plus Wilson as filler.
They shed a lot of salary and add a couple of picks to reset the fiasco, while also grabbing a starter in Bledsoe to see if they can still make the playoffs (if not, they can trade him at the deadline).

I think Minnesota does. I think they can get more for Butler. Too many so so pieces there. I think they'll want at least 1 solid piece coming back. Bledsoe can't be the best piece coming in.
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Is it looking like Butler is going to Houston for Eric Gordon?

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Huh? Haven't heard that and don't know why Minny would do that.

https://twitter.com/ScoopB/status/1043929442794590209 I think this tweet made it sound like this was going to happen, instead of this is what Houston will offer.

Why in the world would Minnesota settle for such a mediocre haul for a top-15 NBA player?

To stick it to the owner perhaps?Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 3:06 pmWhy in the world would Minnesota settle for such a mediocre haul for a top-15 NBA player?
Things are getting crazier after all.

I think Butler goes to Miami.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
What do they have to offer?
Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
Probably something centered around Josh Richardson.

It's incredible that all of those head cases are on one roster.
Magic/Pelinka sound so clueless when they talk about how obvious it would have been to surround LeBron with shooters and innovative it is to surround him with ball dominant players (who by the can't shoot). Time will tell if they are on to something or on something.

Re: Around the League: 2018 Offseason
That Lakers roster is unconscionable. This is why most former star players (MJ, Magic, Lebron) shouldn't be GMs or be involved in player transactions. I think your comment is exactly right. They put the worst kind of roster around Lebron. I like the Javale signing, but ball-stoppers like Beasley or Lance or Rondo, just awful roster management. Sign a bunch of 3-and-D guys, for Pete's sake.INFORMER wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:42 pmIt's incredible that all of those head cases are on one roster.
