Spoiler: show/hide
Hmmm
Props to Gerald for getting this answered. I don't like second guessing Suns management, but it will be interesting to see how it would have played out if they had taken the deal. Was this BG's Haliburton moment? Let the hindsight and second guessing begin!
Come on, dude! This situation is not comparable in any way.
:o That's not hindsight or second guessing. You can do better!

I'm not understanding your vehement response. Maybe my meaning didn't come through. *I'm* not going to second guess. That's not me. But the pattern on sports message boards is to nitpick every decision and criticize it in hindsight if it doesn't work out. Someone is going to do that. We still get people bringing up Joe Johnson from 18,000 years ago. I'm just poking at that!
Haliburton was a known quantity that the whole board wanted us to draft. This situation is in no way comparable. That's all I'm saying. This is a later pick and thus a less wanted asset plus an unknown future asset. Apples and oranges compared to the Haliburton situation.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

It's all connected to the same lawyer.
Ahem...all these legal mumjo jumbo things for some reason inspired in my head..."Its full of starts..."...don't ask me why.

Aside...for the love of...GET GIddey...and GET here start of preseason games at least!

What are the odds that the Suns just outright sign Kuminga to a deal? From Bickly/Marotta it sounds like that's an option too... It'd just put us back into the apron situation.

I don’t think there’s anyway we could sign him to a deal GS wouldn’t just immediately match. We don’t have cap space or even more than the TPMLE, so it would be like 6 million a year.

Yea I don’t think they know the cap like you.. they made it sound like we could do 4y/90mil and gs wouldn’t match.

Ya we can’t do that unless it’s a S&T and GS doesn’t want Grayson or Royce on their longterm deals

2 months of nothing to watch but highlights. The offseason sure seems long despite being the shortest offseason in sports.

Yea but I feel far more positive going into this season than the last one. We may not win a lot of games but expect the effort to be far better than before.

This is how I feel about the Suns *and* my Saints. The D'backs? They're trading 1/3 of their team & will likely win 10 games the rest of the season. Injuries doomed them as well as some pitchers underperforming (Wtf happened to Zac Gallen?) My Oilers made a 2nd cup final but lost to the damn Panthers again but it was a fun season. Had a better time watching Connor & Draisaitl zoom around the rink even though I barely understand hockey than watching Suns games.
Go Suns!

To be fair Drai and McJesus are generational lol, of course they are fun to watch. I just hope the Suns have fun next year.

Funny.... literally had a line about the D-backs bumming me out with trading Saurez; but that was expected to happen... still, sucks since he was a fun guy to cheer for.

Stanley Cup was a lot of fun to watch... my oldest is a big Connor McDavid fan and has a jersey so we watched a lot of games. Felt like an old man telling him "back in my day... they used to have a purple highlighter around the puck" lol. Now that the valley doesn't have a team again I guess I can just cheer for whomever lol.

I want to be hopeful for the Cardinals but I've learned my lesson over the years about setting any hopes on that team. So I just keep the bar on the floor and hope they can just crawl over that and I'll consider that a win.

I just feel there's far more possibility for the Suns to surprise than any other franchise. :)
