Not trying to be negative, but this really is a facepalm post from Ishbia. "The experts don't know anything; they thought we would be good but we sucked!" is a really wild thing to say. Oh well.
I don't know. Doesn't bother me. Kind of a funny thing to say. Yeah, we thought we were going to be good and so did the experts but we were both wrong. I think the more import thing is what he says after about making a gritty, hard working team which we can all be proud of. Build it correctly (kind of like what we had before Ish took over) and let the chips fall where they may.
But yeah, why worry about what the "experts" have to say. Maybe they'll be right or maybe they'll be wrong. Time will tell. But who cares? Just play the right way and build a good team and see what happens. You can't control what others' think.

It’s a weird way of referencing it but he is not wrong that there’s always a few teams who surprise and a few that disappoint compared to expectations. Personally I wouldn’t draw attention to the fact my team underachieved for the last couple of seasons but we do live in hope that things might be different next season.

You guys don't get it. The reason the experts were wrong was that Ishbia wasn't involved enough. Now that he's (actually, truly, for-real-this-time) going to get involved in Bball Ops, the experts will be... wrong again, but in the good way this time. Not sure what's so complicated about that.

Hey, he's standing. So that is something. Although that left leg is pretty heavily bandaged.

With hardly any Suns news this time of year, this was cool to see:

And here's a look at the new looks Suns... in video game form:
They hold their own with the Warriors. Although, I don't know why they couldn't have given Maluach a few minutes of playing time. I'm guessing it was all AI substitutions.

He looks like he put on muscle again this offseason. He was big last fall, too, but it seemed like he overdid it that time. This seems a bit leaner and more helpful to him as a basketball player.
I've advocated for trading Grayson, but he's a good player and if he's working out well for us, maybe Royce would be the player to go, instead.
Schumacher was the only lead guard that I liked in summer league. He was actually passing to his teammates and trying to make the right play, unlike the other lead guards, Ellis and Collins.

We have so many young guys who may need / deserve minutes, hard to picture Schumacher getting any playing time. But I'll always support the team grooming and keeping young talent around. We undervalued that aspect in recent years.
