How are we going to get Boozer? He would be perfect to fill our need.

Draft Lotto happened:

1. Wizards
2. Jazz
3. Grizzlies
4. Bulls
5. Clippers
6. Nets
7. Kings
8. Hawks
9. Mavs
10. Bucks
11. Warriors
12. Thunder
13. Heat
14. Hornets

Bulls the big mover as well as Pacers who dropped out of the top 4 and therefore had to give their pick to the Clippers.

Jazz are looking like they’ll have a significantly better roster than us next season.

And maybe the tallest roster in NBA history. Good luck Suns getting a rebound against them next season.

That Pacers / Clips pick situation is wild. They give up the #5 pick in the draft plus all those other assets for Zubac. I really like Zubac, but that ends up looking like a big overpay, or great timing to cut losses and bail on Zubac for the Clippers. They get a treasure trove of assets for giving up a single veteran player.

Ya that was a steal for the Clippers…Not sure what the pacers were thinking.

I assumed the pacers would try once they made that trade as they could have easily gotten to the point that there pick would be 10th…but they chose to take their(at best) 50% chance at landing a top 4 pick…they had to egregiously tank to do it and their coin flip turned up tails…brutal.

Not the same but reminds me of the 2004 draft when we sent CHI our #7 before knowing who was available. So yeah, amazing outcome for the Clips but that is luck for you, although Zu has been highly underrated for a while so the trade is not as bad as it might seem on paper today, and the Pacers were done with Mathuring, he was going to be traded anyway as they did not want to pay him and had been heavily critiziced because he tried too much to be Kobe without the skills.

Now, if I was a Pacers fan I would have been a kind of mad at the time because I would have wondered what was the need to pull that move at the deadline. As in, what was I buying at the deadline that I could not buy at draft night for the same price (leaving aside for trade purposes Mathuring's contract block as he is now a RFA). On the other hand, I know everything changes so fast in the NBA and there is no guarantee that my guy (or someone of a similar caliber) would have been available months after. I 100% know tho that if this was the Suns, I'd be looking at it as Zubac for Myles Turner + #5 pick in a loaded draft + 2029 1stR pick + Mathurin.

I would like to see us add Marvin Bagley. Yeah, the guy the Kings selected #2 after we drafted Ayton and passed on Luka.
I would try to get into the first round of the draft using Williams as our primary tool. I do not think Williams will be with us at the beginning of next season.

A front court of Maluach, Bagley, Oso, Fleming, Wade and Dunn would offer a lot of flexibility while improving defense and rebounding. With our remaining big Three of Book, Green and Dillon along with Allen and Gillespie think we could be better than this year.

Can't do that. Williams is a RFA and untradeable at draft night.

I don't know if adding Wade and Bagley actually solves our frontcourt needs, and it cuts into playing time available for Maluach and Fleming. Also, if I am losing Williams I'd want an actual center. I know how it sounds, but I'd actually look into Drummond.

Any interest in Green for Zion. That works straight up too.
It all depends on what we get back with him. I'd want draft picks, too.

Yeah I know Zion is flawed and arguably damaged goods. But he had a decent season and NO isn't going to send out assets like picks just to give him away. I think he's a stay-away at this point, too risky to take on, too valuable / commands too high a price from his current team.

Yeah no offense to O_Gardino but asking NOP for picks is absurd. We are the ones who owe value (to what extent can be up for discussion for sure but no way they need to add anything if it was effectively a Green-Zion swap).

Green's a flawed player, too. I'd do the trade. Worst comes to worst, you save cap space when his contract comes off the books.

But...he doesn't The bet is that a forced change of scenery will wake him up.
