That was a weird trade to me…Portland just wants a leader I guess, but not sure why they paid a premium to help Boston shed salary…I think Jrue is semi-washed…I’d have gladly moved Beal for him, but I’m not sad we don’t have to pay him for 3 years.
Vucevic and Dosunmu are expiring so there's not much to gain but tax relief from them.
Pat Williams would be the worst contract in the league if it weren't for Beal's NTC.
At a position of greater need. I will take it.

Watching phnx pod, Jalen Green gets to the rim in the 98th percentile, his shot quality is 9th and his rim shot making is 89th. That is a hilarious up and down, get to where to want, take a terrible shot, make most of your terrible shots

Well we do need rim pressure…if only green could pass the ball when he got into the paint

Ya Williams is why it might be possible. He’s got an awful contract…you’d have Vuc and Ayo for a year and can either trade them later or re-sign them. I don’t think I’d move a 1st, but I’d send a few 2nds. If the other option is waive and stretch Beal, I’d do this.

His tunnel vision will need work for sure, but he's also like Booker just kinda had to do everything himself to get a shot. I don't know how many kids at his age are just thrown to the wolves and have to get your own shot by yourself and do it reliably and efficiently. I could see Ott having had Mitchell and seeing how he could make mold Green in the same vein.

When was the last time we had a guard who could do this stuff?

Yeah, I'm excited to have his athleticism on our team. He does remind me a lot of the last Green in a Suns uniform, Gerald Green, and that's probably the answer to your question.
I've always liked Claxton and we need a center. The question is whether it worth giving up youth at #10 for that?
They would also be giving us at least one pick—they have #19, #26, and #27 in this year’s draft in addition to #8.
But I’m not sure how it would work salary-wise.

Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton for Brad Beal works cap wise. Just saying.
Johnson and Claxton for Beal and #10. Get it done.
Booker/CG
Green
Brooks/Dunn
Johnson/Oso
Claxton/Richards

I don't know if i can see Beal wanting to go to BK. Also have some reservations about Claxton as a fulltime starting C and Cam as starting PF. We'd be a very thin/light team up front that could get pushed around and bullied by bigger teams. I'd still do the deal but we need longterm answers at those two spots just the same.
