If Wemby can stay healthy, the Spurs are going to win a lot of titles. And that is wild when you consider OKC's massive stash of players, draft picks, and assets. The coming OKC/SAS series is going to be really interesting. I think OKC will win, but it will be a bloodbath. Probably the "real NBA Finals" in terms of deciding the eventual champion.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I think it will be OKC also but Spurs might get a game or two. As far as what happens in the finals I don't care if it is NY, DET or CLE they are going to get swept. None of them are on the same level as OKC.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 8:18 amIf Wemby can stay healthy, the Spurs are going to win a lot of titles. Y’all are sleeping on the Spurs
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
Spurs are good, but I think I'll take the team that just swept two rounds despite mostly missing their second-best player over the team that took 6 games to beat the middling Timberwolves team with a gimpy Anthony Edwards and a missing Donte DiVincenzo. The Spurs are extremely good but they are super young and raw and haven't been here before. I think they will wilt under the pressure and lose to OKC, but that's okay; they are right on schedule to be contenders in a year or two.

They swept two rounds against bad teams. I’m not impressed. Also you mention the banged up Wolves and don’t mention Luka missed the entire series.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 2:54 pmSpurs are good, but I think I'll take the team that just swept two rounds despite mostly missing their second-best player over the team that took 6 games to beat the middling Timberwolves team with a gimpy Anthony Edwards and a missing Donte DiVincenzo. Also Spurs were +97 in the series…they lost a game Wemby was awful in by 2 and the game Wemby was ejected from. They won 3 games by 30…they demolished them.

I think the Spurs are going to take out OKC in 6. The Spurs just know how to guard without letting the thunder draw fouls.

Someone got ahead of themselves
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
If OKC gets the same whistle they've been getting for the past 2 years, I don't see how any other team stands a chance. But maybe the refs will awaken from their spell in the OKC/Spurs series and call it fairly. That would be interesting.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 7:01 pmI think the Spurs are going to take out OKC in 6. The Spurs just know how to guard without letting the thunder draw fouls.
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
OKC had to withstand two game 7s last year…I think people forget that they were very close to losing to the Pacers last year and very well could have if Hali didn’t tear his Achilles.

Detroit is down at home by 33 with 9 minutes left. All the Cleveland fans in the crowd are chanting loudly "Let's go Cavs!"
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
They will want Booker, not Jalen Green. But if they would take Green, I'm not hanging up the phone.
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
Cade Cunningham is not THAT guy, much like Banchero as a former first overall, good players, can't carry a team on their back. Pistons play like assholes in the worst way, I'm glad they lost.
Re: 2026 NBA Playoffs - Second round series
Who's his #2? Duren? Thompson? It's like Book...one guy can only do so much.
