Yeah, i really like Len too man, I just hope to see him get double double this season, and get more touches on offense.
There ya go.
That was fast

2. Plumlee most disappointing. Hope I'm wrong
3. Goodwin, warren only get a lot of time if we lose a lot early
4. We are fighting for 4/5 seed
5. Tucker plays a lot at power forward
6. Len eventually plays with the 3 point guard lineups when we go to it
7. Marcus gets married and kicks his brother out of house!
8. We score 107 a game
9. Minnesota's pick becomes 2 worthless picks
10. Lakers pick ends up being 4th pick, we cry...
Happened tonight.
With a small perimeter lineup, the danger is that the bigger but slower players would shoot a lot of pull-up jumpers over our smaller players. A rebounding demon inside would certainly help.

I thought it would be interesting to go back and see how we did with our pre-season Suns predictions. It's a bit of a mixed bag for me...

Gladiator wrote:OK, I'll have a go:
1) Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas combine to average 55 points per game
Wrong on this one. THey got 48 per game and obviously didn't mesh as well as I thought they could. I also thought Dragic and/or Bledsoe might miss some time and inflate the others' stats.
2) as others have predicted, Thomas wins 6th man of the year
Probably won't happen but ironically, after being run out of town, he will still get votes and might end up 2nd or 3rd in voting. Even if he does win it, the vibe of this prediction will be wrong.
3) the Suns WILL make a trade before the deadline
For better or worse, this one is right.
4) Warren shows glimpses but PJ Tucker keeps the starting SF spot for the whole season
Yep. Warren's late form was one of the very few bright spots of the final few weeks of the season.
5) we see this 5 on court at some stage: Dragic, Thomas, Bledsoe, Green, Markieff
I don't know if this actually happened, but we did run out the 3 guard line-up a lot with very little up front. So kinda right.
6) Alex Len's average stats will look bad, but he'll look much better than last season
Correct. 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game doesn't tell the story of the steps he made this season IMO.
7) when the Suns host the Spurs on 2/28, not all of the Spurs' big 3 play
Wrong. They all played. No need to play silly games with the Suns at that stage.
8) someone will have 20 rebounds in a game against the Suns
Chandler had 23 in a late game and we gave up 18 and 19 quite a few times.
9) we'll lose at least 1 game on an opposition last-possession offensive rebound
It feels like this happened somewhere along the line. Certainly our rebounding late was a massive issue. From memory, the Clippers only forced OT (when Blake hit that ridiculous winner) due to a late offensive rebound.
10) we'll just miss the playoffs, getting the 9th seed again (happy to be wrong on this one)
We missed but finished 10th.

i predicted that the suns will win 6 games less than the previous season. IT may be a better player than frye, but the team is better with frye remaining a sun.

i predicted mcdo will be fired by the end of this season. but now i realize there are not a lot of quality GMs who want to work for sarver... this fact might save mcdo from termination.

McDonough was never in danger of being fired.

Oh, sorry. Didn't realize it was a question. I disagree. They will be better. By 5 games minimum.
