I've jumped on the INF "fuck Bledsoe" bandwagon. He had 22 points last night, and I'm not trying to ignore his positive contributions. But he isn't a facilitator; he doesn't seem to know how to run an offense. It reminds me a little bit of the Stephon Marbury years. They obviously are very different players, but Steph had the same problem of looking to get his before trying to get the team and the offense going. I don't even think it is fixable; I don't think Bledsoe is capable of figuring this out. I think he will be who he is for the rest of his career. It feels like his destiny is to start for the Charlotte Hornets or some other mediocre team that can't really get anywhere. He'll score 19 and get 6 assists and 5 boards and people will praise his versatility and toughness, and his team will lose more than it wins. Good stats, bad team. I just don't want it to be our bad team. Oh and I also still don't like how he handled his free agency and that his agent is the deplorable Rich Paul.

I can't really tell whether Knight is salvageable yet. I think he may be, because he's a better shooter. He's chucked it a little bit this season so far, but maybe that's because he hasn't had the ball to run the offense. Maybe if he were the main PG rather than the SG he'd break out of that habit.

Warren and Len are in there somewhere for me, but, yeah, pretty much. My quick assessment of the players on the roster:
  • Bledsoe: GTFO
Booker: keeper; future of the team
Chandler: good veteran presence; like him
    Goodwin: GTFO
    Cory Jefferson: no value
Knight: Meh. Will never forgive them losing Laker pick
Len: keeper; improving future starting center
Leuer: Impressed. Works hard, unselfish, sneaky good. Majerle hustle award incoming.
    Morris: GTFO
Price: Better than expected. Good backup PG
Teletovic: Not a big fan so far. Seems to be a chucker. If so, GTFO
    Tucker: GTFO
Warren: keeper; should start at SF
Weems: not sure yet. probably good enough to stay as backup SG/SF

Shit how did I forget about T.J. Buckets? Probabaly my favorite Sun. Kinda just assumed. Len I like...but I'm always reminded of how we passed on Noel who has been a defensive monster here in Philly...I do like Alex's work ehtic though, seems like a hardworker with a good attitude and some low post moves.

I think the 2 biggest diferences for me for Knight and Bled so far are Knight just looks like he exerts more effort, particularly defensively and Knight has a very nice shooting stroke. He still isn't shooting the same as he did in Milw, but you can tell he can shoot.

Bled's a bit miscast, but consistantcy has not been his friend and the Bball IQ is my biggest problem with him and it doesn't seem to be improving. You can't have that out of your pg.

Bledsoe is the perfect third guard. The problem is the Suns have made the mistake of casting him like he's the focal point of the team.

If they had a big point guard (like Michael Carter-Williams if he could shoot a little) who could play alongside Knight they'd be in great shape with Bledsoe coming off the bench. But I don't see that happening any time soon.

That combination might work, but that would be like a $200m backcourt. (And not worth it at all.)
