“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Re: Suns Coaching Search
The only one that's a big surprise to me is Thunder Dan. I don't think Watson will get the job, but am not surprised they'll interview him. Coach Pringles would be a blast from the past and Luke Walton is not surprising.
Frankly, I'm not to thrilled about anyone on that list. I'd take Jay Wright over any of them, But Dan is intriguing. He's too similar to Horneck to me, although I'd root like hell for the guy. He has done a really nice job at GCU

Majerle has done a heck of a job at GCU.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Sure. But I don't think that means he would be a great HC in the NBA.Superbone wrote:Majerle has done a heck of a job at GCU.

Me too, and I don't want D'Antoni. That list blows.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:I'd take D'Antoni from that list, and it's not remotely close.

I want D'Antoni too. Very interested in what he can do with Booker and Warren.

It doesn't mean he wouldn't be either.Indy wrote:Sure. But I don't think that means he would be a great HC in the NBA.Superbone wrote:Majerle has done a heck of a job at GCU.

You guys don't think he's staying in Philly now?
I'm iffy on Luke Walton. I don't doubt the coaching potential, just not sure about him yet. And while we're not on the level of bad the Knicks are, the same argument applies. Why leave GS for this? They're one of the premier teams/orgs, their window isn't close to closing, and he'd be the obvious replacement for Kerr should his health issues come up again.

I don't know how Walton is any different from Hornacek. Show me how he handles adversity first, otherwise, I have just as little interest in him as I do Harrison Barnes.

I know you're joking, but there is one on the tapatalk app. I like posts all the time.Indy wrote:Where is the "like" button?carey wrote:That list sucks.

Agreed with the consensus that the list is underwheleming. I think Walton is more of an unknown than people are leading on in the media. I mean he could be a good coach, but I don't give him that much credit for GS's success while he was coaching. Someone will throw huge money at him and hopefully it won't be us. Majerle is similar to Hornecek and Mike D'Antoni, although I think he'd make the suns alot more entertaining hasn't really had any success since he's left us. I'm not an Earl Watson guy either...
Would Coach D and Majerle even want to come here? Didn't both guys leave on bitter terms that had a lot to do with Sarver.

Re: Suns Coaching Search
D'Antoni just got to Philly, where his best pals and fellow Italians the Colangeli have just seized power. He's next in line behind lame duck Brett Brown. There is no way he would leave there to come back here.
