They didn't even interview anyone else did they? That is how little they cared.

It is so hard to stay positive.

What is next? A few months of bullshit about how the three guards can work together.

"At some point in the season, we had the mindset that we were accepting losing," Devin Booker told reporters after the season. "Once Coach Earl stepped in, we didn't accept losing anymore. We were fighting in games, even when we were down 15, 20 late. We fought back to almost win a lot of games."

During Watson's tenure, the Suns ranked second in the NBA in rebounding and also improved defensively over the final month, allowing 5.1 fewer points per 100 possessions.

I could see this becoming a Dan Majerle/Cotton Fitzsimmons situation.

"You'll rue the day you booed Earl Watson."

“One of the things that stood out was this: Every single player on the roster came to us at the end of the season and said that this is the guy we want as head coach,” McDonough told The Vertical in a telephone interview on Tuesday afternoon. “They said that you’d be making a mistake if you hire a different head coach. That’s not something we expected to hear from [our players] back when we promoted him to interim coach in February, but Earl has shown an ability to connect and motivate our players as well as discipline and hold them accountable.”

And get this. Jude LaCava beat out Woj for the scoop:
Fox 10's Jude LaCava first reported Watson would get the full-time job before Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported the sides had agreed to a three-year contract.

We'll they'll draft a guard with their first pick, so maybe 4 guard line-ups?
I don't like the fact they didn't interview anyone else (at all) but I will be prepared to accept this decision somewhat if they really commit to Watson and a young team growing together. Play the kids!

Ho hum. Sarver has officially snuffed out all of my passion for this team. Thank God Bill's son took over the Cardinals, otherwise I'd have nothing to cheer for.

You are really excited that they didn't interview anyone for the job, and just took the rookie to coach our best rookie in a decade?

The only way to give up more points per game, but give up less points per possession is to give the ball away a lot more. Which they clearly did. I don't see that as a win, coming from a team that was fraught with TOs the first half of the season.

I didn't say that. I was responding to EDC's "It is hard to stay positive."

Let's be honest. The FO completely undermined the coaching staff by 1) Allowing M******* M***** to be on the roster and 2) Firing Hornacek's top assistants and stringing him along. The players knew it was a lost season and thus, knew they'd be auditioning the rest of the way under Watson.

I also don't buy into the fact that all the players wanted Watson back. Maybe they don't know what a winning coach does or doesn't do? Bledsoe? Knight? Booker? Warren? Teletovic? Leuer? The only guy with any real chops in the league is Chandler and I'm pretty sure they told him they'd look to deal him to a contending team soon.

Chandler is one of Watson's most vocal supporters. There's a video going around of the players talking about Watson on the Rise network and Chandler is prominently featured singing his praises.

Nobody but Watson wants this job right now. The players love him and they went 9-15 after the 0-9 start. I'm surprised it took this long tbh.
