I'm just tired of the turnstile. Kerr made plenty of mistakes but I thought he was finally getting comfortable in the situation and would have been good going forward. McD has made some mistakes, although I guess we can't be sure who called what shots, but I'm happy that it seems like we may go with consistency and let him learn from his mistakes and get better.
McD definitely seems like a hard worker and someone who is knowledgeable. He might need to work on his people skills. PR should get in there and work with him.
I'm fine with Babby going...never really liked him. Thought he was overrated for what he brought in for. I'd rather have McD overseeing things, bringing in his people that have one common vision. And at least we'll know these are his moves and his roster now.
I don't see where he really brought anything irreplaceable to the organization as President.

Transitions are a part of business and life. I believe this is truly what they say, its about Babby wanting to move into semi-retirement. He will still do what he does best, negotiate.
I am fine with this. Looks like Sarver is working on being the player's buddy, while McD is the cold calculating personnel guy. It ok I suppose.
Any chance this has something to do with the Morris twins? I was under the impression that Babby was their chief advocate. Maybe something to do with how the Dragic fiasco went down? It seemed to me that he was involved in basketball decisionmaking and that, while McDonough was permitted to do what he wanted on draft day, not everything was his call to make.
I'm wondering if (hoping) this is a precursor to more personnel changes this summer.

I was wondering the same thing. One can only hope that this the first shoe to fall ...
Lon Babby, the virtuoso who made the Suns relevant the last few years is stepping down as team president "It was so much fun! " smiled Babby speaking through a kids voice changer "We had cookies and fun and homemade whipped cream!!"he joked. Babby will stay with the organization as an advisor and is looking to architect some cunning moves like brining Earl Watson in to eventually replace Hornacek. "The plan the plan man [ thats me ] wants to make happen is for one, everyone to get MAXIMUM COOKIES and two for Hornacek to get fired, then we replace him with Earl Watson who fails horribly then we get to fire him in 1-2 years"
Dan Bickley reported that Babby was looking to legally change his last name to "baby" and take on a persona of a fully adult baby [ the Suns had purchased a giant crib to accommodate his wishes in April ] but the team and Babby had some disagreements over the future of the Morris Twins "I thought they should be punished with something fun like balloons full of glitter and taking way their Playstations how absolutely frowiny face would that be ?" noted Babby from a chair loomed from the hair and skin of former Sun Tyler Griffith
Bickley is upset " I really like Baby , he's been such a rocking guest for our show. One time I asked him to hold onto my pukka shell collection for a week as I was having guests over and didn't want them to snake any of my sick pukka's knowing I wouldn't be at the Santa Monica Pier anytime soon and he DID IT and he didn't take any! However, I had to bribe him with a bedazzler and a bib I made from some of my older True Religion jean knock'offs I bought from Marshalls - he was great dude!" said Bickley from a bar that has a classic rock jukebox plenty of ladies and cheap Marg specials
The Suns are looking at ways to find a mediocre center and almost over the hill veterans to add to the team during the draft. Babby is focused on finding out where his next meal will come from "Hopefully a bottle" he laughed
5 seasons as president, 0 playoff apperances, 1 lance blanks, 1 sketchy gentry fire, not a ton of progress. I'm OK with him easing up on the work-load. He seems like a bright guy and he was undone by a lot of decisions made in the post-Kerr transition period (some of which had his fingerprints on them), but not exactly a sparkling track record of success.
Good move. Now it's crystal clear who is running things, so however it turns out it will be on Mcdonuagh.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”
