Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBATV
The Nuggets come into town on a three game win streak. Markieff is questionable for tonight. My guess is Leuer gets the start as he started the second half on Thursday. The ball moved well with him in the starting lineup but he'll have a tough challenge with Faried. Gallinari has been playing really well to start the season too. This is one we NEED to win.
Go Suns!!!

Leuer may start, but I expect to see a lot of P.J. and T.J. playing together.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Breath of fresh air for our team not to have Markieff playing. Can't wait until he's gone.
Denver looks pretty beatable to me. Mudiaye (sp?) is pretty interesting, and Faried and Gallo are playing well, but this is not a very formidable opponent overall. If we want to be a playoff team, these are the kinds of games we have to take care of.

Actually, this article would argue against your sentiments. Its an interesting read.Mori Chu wrote:Breath of fresh air for our team not to have Markieff playing. Can't wait until he's gone.

As bad as T.J. Warren has been when subbed for Tucker, Jon Leuer being the sole sub (for Markieff Morris) has been worse. And, less surprisingly, replacing Eric Bledsoe with Ronnie Price has been disaster as well.
Leuer and Warren have teamed with Tucker, Chandler and Knight for a positive five-minute stint once. But those same two (Leuer and Warren) with Bledsoe, Chandler and Knight have been awful.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
I don't think Leuer and Warren have been awful at all.
Warren is averaging 11.3 PPG in 22 minutes on 51% FG. He's even averaging 36.4% from three.
Leuer is averaging a surprisingly serviceable 6.9 PPG and 5.5 RPG and even 1.1 assists per game in 16.5 minutes. That is pretty decent for a journeyman PF off the bench. He also seems to mostly "get it" and not do bad/dumb things that actively hurt the team when he's out there.

Read the article. See the quote in its context. Its not about individual players but how the various units play together. That particular quote is about how the team performs when Leuer and/or Warren are playing with the starters, in particular Bledsoe.Mori Chu wrote:I don't think Leuer and Warren have been awful at all.

Not a bad start but we've been pretty lucky they are bricking open shots. Four and a half minutes for Len in the first half. Apparently he is farther down on the roster than Tele now.

TJ Warren is my favorite player in the NBA.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Why is Leuer getting no burn in the 2nd?
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Bledsoe's taken his game up a level this season and I think it has everything to do with effort.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
I worry that he will settle back down. He loves to play against OKC and the Clippers. Hopefully he can maintain this going forward.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
AASE is 0-7 from the field, Suns still up by 21.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Bledsoe screaming at Tucker to cut to the basket. PJ had a wide open path.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Bledsoe's midrange shots and floaters are on point.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Our defense is engaged and the Nuggets look dog-tired. Haven't seen a dominant first half performance like this from the Suns in a loooong time.

Wowwwww. 60-28 at the half! I'm stuck at a birthday party with the wife, but I'm blown away by the Suns' performance so far.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Leuer is much quicker off the dribble than I expected
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (5-4) @ Suns (4-4), Sat 11/14/15
Knight leaves his feet on EVERY pass.
