Re: Remainder of Season Wish List
This is a good topic, Danimal. Thanks for getting it started. Wants: Mikal Bridges to hit 3s consistently Devin Booker to become an accurate, volume 3-point shooter Stick with Ty Jerome in the rotation; find out what we have in him Solid play from Jonah Bolden I agree: good topic. To your list I ...

Re: NBA Draft 2020
I think this is a very deep draft, not at all top heavy. I'd feel best drafting in the 4-7 range so we'd be in a position to draft one of Halliburton, Advija, Okongwu or Hayes, in that order. To me, Halliburton projects as a perfect fit alongside Devin Booker and Ty Jerome in the backcourt long term ...

Re: Suns News: Preseason 2019
Sure, we'll play our starters more. But Kaminsky was the first player off the bench every game in preseason, whether Saric was in or out. I think that's significant. Pair that with his play, and I think you're looking at your sixth man. Other things I think you can take from preseason are Jevon ...

Re: Oubre or Mikal Bridges as starting small forward?
If Oubre continues to play the way he's played during preseason, I'd rather start Okobo at the 3 TBH. Dude's really making me wish we'd kept my avatar instead. Was the end of last year just Contract Year Kelly?

Re: Phoenix Suns Training Camp 2019 - Flagstaff, AZ - Oct 1
Looks like we'll get a heavy dose of Cam tomorrow, which is exciting. Wonder if we'll see Book at SF some with Bridges and Oubre out. That would open up some time for Tyler, Ty and maybe Carter or Okobo.

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Yes, the 2016 & 2017 draft were just disasters. But look at some of the their lottery picks in last 10 years - 2011 - 13 - M******f M****s - Passed on Kawhi Leonard (15), Nikola Vucevic (16) 2012 - 13 - Kendall Marshall - Victim of a bad draft overall 2013 - 05 - Alex Len - Victim of a bad draft ...

Re: Around the League: The Off-season
Yeah, signing him would be Linsane. He put up efficient shooting numbers in Atlanta. I'd rather have him as backup over jerome, who probably isn't ready I'm very optimistic about Jerome. He's just so smart and such a good shooter, with great size and a record of success. Even if Lin were to stay ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Personally, I thought the worst thing we could have done on draft night is simply select one of the players projected to go in our range: White, Garland, Hunter, Culver. So I'm pretty pleased we avoided that and filled a starting roster spot instead. What is wrong with Hunter and Culver? I just don ...

Re: Predict 2019-20 Suns # of wins
With the extreme level of competition in the west this year, a lot would seem to depend on (i) other teams' having health problems, as we need to take some wins from Denver, GSW, Houston, LAC, LAL, Portland and Utah if we're going to win more than 35, (ii) Ayton stepping up, so we have the talent ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Really liked the way Jared shot the ball for us in Summer League. Was really impressed by how he exploited Mitchell Robinson repeatedly in game 1 as well. More optimistic about his NBA future than Okobo's, at least.

Re: NBA Summer League
They could have used one more shooter on the floor all the time with Rubio and Gobert. Mitchell was pretty good, and Ingles was very good, but having 2 other essentially non-shooters on the floor with Ricky didn't help matters. Also, they didn't have the best and quickest cutters, in another area ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Shouldn't we wait to see these guys play before we label these bad picks? And isn't it obvious that we have no idea where these players would be picked if we didn't select them? Personally, I thought the worst thing we could have done on draft night is simply select one of the players projected to ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Suns can now sign Oubre for $7 if they want since no one has any cap room left  He’ll just take the QO then and be an UFA next year. I don’t think we want that. Pretty inevitable that this is going to happen based on the lack of movement on this deal. With the Kawhi/George deal the Suns are pre ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Couldn't they give him a contract close to what he feels he's worth that includes incentives? I think that's allowed and a way for each side to get what they want. I don't want the Suns to play hardball and hold leverage over his head. It should be something totally reasonable that doesn't create ...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
One of the benefits that's not being talked about much if at all is the help that Rubio could provide to the wings on the Suns. Spida Mitchell and Wiggins should be writing a check to Rubio each month for all the money he made them. Wiggins career was on a upward trajectory when Rubio was in Min ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
https://twitter.com/BobbyMarks42/status/1146106774853947392 Kinda what I'm afraid of. If the Clips don't throw an offer at Oubre (if they strike out on Kawhi) , we have some leverage but it could get ugly if we lowball like "hey, there's no more money out there. Take our offer or play out the year ...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
3/30 for Satoransky is a really good deal in my opinion. Yeah but I just don't see him as a guy who could command the ball as a starting PG next to Booker. In my view, Sato is a lot like Johnson - a third, combo guard. $10 million might be a solid deal for the production, but if what you need is a ...

Re: Suns News: 2019 Off-Season
Bookmark this: https://earlybirdrights.com/salary-cap/phx/2019-20/ We can revisit when Oubre signs tonight. The next step is easier to take when you leave yourself flexibility. If we want to remain flexible it might mean not signing Oubre, which clearly makes us worse in the short term. I worry we ...

Re: Suns sign Rubio
I don't think Rubio's any better than Tyler. Just a steady, capable NBA point guard. With him, Johnson and Jerome on the roster, we should have depth and stability at the position. We should be competitive most nights and beat the young and injured teams. The influx of passing from Rubio and Saric ...
