Game Day: Suns (10 - 21) @ Mavericks (8 - 22), Mon 12/18/17
Re: Game Day: Suns (10 - 21) @ Mavericks (8 - 22), Sat 12/18/17
I did not like the last 2 possessions. The best we can do is James dribbling down the clock for a step-back long 2? Then after that made 3 they don't take care of the ball?

Having trouble keeping hold of the ball late. It's actually funny watching Warren and Bender who cant just hold the ball and wait for the foul.

Looking at the stats, he got a lot of minutes on those absolutely awful sixers teams. He definitely put up a lot of 3'sbajanguy008 wrote:I've always known Canaan as a two guard in a PG body, remember games with him going off from 3pt land but really never knew him as a facilitator. wonder if he improved that in the G League or just wasn't asked to on the other teams

Joe Blo off the street is our second leading scorer and best PG again with a 17/6/4 night.

Does Canaan have to leave when Booker comes back? Can we cut James instead?

Mavs shot 36% and played Yogi Ferrel 42 minutes.
I hope Booker is watching and beginning to understand where guys can make shots. I'd like to see him come back form his injury and continue adding passing to his game.

James worked for it and has earned a spot on an NBA team.specialsauce wrote:+10000000Split T wrote:Does Canaan have to leave when Booker comes back? Can we cut James instead?
trade him for a 2nd round pick

I love Canaan! It's just so nice having a competent PG out there. Love his defense too.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Why not cut Ulis, he really is pretty awful if you have been watching.1tinsoldier wrote:James worked for it and has earned a spot on an NBA team.specialsauce wrote:+10000000Split T wrote:Does Canaan have to leave when Booker comes back? Can we cut James instead?

I have to believe even James + - is beter than his.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

I am glad we got a win, and it was great to see Canaan play so well. But what does it say about this team that basically a guy walks in off the street and is our second-best player? Geez this team is bad.

No one is giving up a 2nd round pick for Mike James.1tinsoldier wrote:James worked for it and has earned a spot on an NBA team.specialsauce wrote:+10000000Split T wrote:Does Canaan have to leave when Booker comes back? Can we cut James instead?

our starting lineup is very imbalanced with booker out. No shooting and no real inside scoring to speak of. With bender starting to shoot better, our bench looks more threatening than our starters. I didnt think we had any business winning this one. We looked awful in the 3rd. We ran the weave so often and it blows. Please runs plays for our roster dont transplant some bs system that requires guys we dont have - no mans land.
refs kept making calls on the suns also. Mavs didnt take advantage in the 4th and their shooting went cold

Disgusting. Mike James doesn’t belong in the NBA unless he is the 15th manJustWinBaby wrote:Why not cut Ulis, he really is pretty awful if you have been watching.1tinsoldier wrote:James worked for it and has earned a spot on an NBA team.specialsauce wrote:+10000000Split T wrote:Does Canaan have to leave when Booker comes back? I don't know if you guys saw the game, but Mike James closed it for us. We need all 3 of these PGs, because none of them is good enough to stay on the court for a full 24 minutes.

Canaan is playing well above his career stats, so we'll need to see more.
is 26, the same age as James
