Game Day: Suns (11 - 21) @ Clippers (11 - 18), Wed 12/20/17

Post by bajanguy008 »

Time: 8:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT / 10:30 pm ET)
Place: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

Final game of this three game road trip takes us to Staples to face the Clippers. Their season got derailed in a hurry with Blake/Beverley being out and Gallinari is once again struggling to stay healthy missing most of the season so far. It's been the Lou Williams show for like the last month and they are currently on a three game losing streak.

The Suns on the other hand have the chance to go on a three game Win streak and the Bench Mob continues to be the story comfortably outscoring the starters in the last two games since Canaan has joined. Blake/DeAndre have always given us problems on the glass, DeAndre is still doing his thing this season but we have been winning the rebounding battle in games recently thanks to Len's improved play so interested to see how that plays out tonight.

Go Suns !!!

We have a real possibility to win this one. Lets see how Alex Len and the veteran centers handle Jordan.

Maybe Ryan can work a trade while they are in town. Brandon Knight + Chriss for Austin Rivers + Clips '18 1st and '21 1st. That's a great deal for the Clippers!

For all the fretting about the Suns' future, the Clippers are arguably more depressing than we are. Their record is about as bad as ours, and they don't have a young blue-chipper like we have in Booker. And they don't have as many other young promising players and picks like we've got. I bet most of their fans would trade rosters with us in a heartbeat right now.

Thanks Bajan for making these threads. You're our good luck charm :)

Go Suns!

BG is going to singlehandedly ruin our lottery chances but so be it. :P

Assuming you forgot they have Blake Griffin because he’s been out a while? Yes he’s injured, but he’s easily the best player on either roster right now.

I wouldn’t trade Booker for him and I find him to be annoying , but he is the better player.

You guys remember Socks Perry coming on a 10 day contract and dropping 11 assists in his first game? Plus, he did it in style with his high socks and his 120lb frame. I think that dude averaged 9 assists per game for his first 10 or so games. I was always a fan of his, even though he never became the player I talked him up to be. He was my guy no mater what.

I was this close to fall for the same with Miles Plumlee. His first weeks on the Suns were amazing.

I met him when I worked his basketball camp. I was never convinced that he was anything more than a flash in the pan, and never struck me as super smart.

I feel like we have 3 Elliot Perrys at PG right now. Any one of them will own you if you don't have a scouting report on him. But I don't think any of them is a long term solution. That doesn't mean we can't root for them.

We've had several players recently that played out of their minds when they first arrive, and then slowly come back down to reality. I imagine it is because there isn't a scouting report on them yet. As much as I've loved watching the 2nd unit come alive with Canaan the past 2 games, its hard to get excited about him making a large dent in the team's fortunes this season.

Lets take the wind out of their sails?

Clip their sails?

Sink their ship?

I know, don’t quit my day job.

D'oh! Watch out for the Canaan shot starboard!

Len after he blocks a shot: "Get that ship out of here!"
