I actually think promoting the celebrity of devin booker is fairly important for us now. Only thing we got going and may help attract another star. Hopefully they watch twitter and not our games.
I expect Md to try and make a splash at the deadline for fear of devin turning into the next anthony davis - a frustrated lone star
1) I don't think McD thinks that far ahead.
2) His talent evaluation has been extremely lacking
3) Like Shel said, whatever we decided to do, it will likely be the wrong thing.

I can imagine McD is just perched at his lap top next few months voting for booker to be an all star then hitting refresh. I really think this may be highly beneficial to us. It might trick some decent players into thinking we are not a complete shit show

Chriss is shooting 28.6 percent from 3 on 2.3 attempts per game, and he’s the best shooter in the group. There’s no way for a slasher like Jackson to be efficient in a lineup like that.

We need some shooting...

The Colangeli seemed to get that you can never have enough shooters. Even in the 80s and 90s they seemed to deeply understand this and always stocked our team with sneaky good shooters. The current management seems to undervalue shooting as an important player asset to prioritize. It's bad.

like i said about the draft and the new breed that's 1 and done in college:
"Jackson’s college coaches never tried to change his shot. They knew they would have him on campus for only nine months." The Ringer

Its amazing how many writers etc who really have no idea what they are talking about, have now become shot form experts.

it doesn't take an expert
if it takes longer to wind up, giving the defense more time to disrupt it, draws only air or backboard or goes clank more than 65% of the time, it's bad form to me

any fan who watches tens of thousands of shots every year can spot good form
from the 3 point line
from the free throw line
a proper hook shot, etc..

show them an isolated clip of Booker and Jackson's form without the basket result and they'll tell you which has the better shooting percentage and average

Jackson's shooting form is bad. I don't know how we got into a situation where two top-4 picks in the 2017 draft have such broken jump shots (and the #1 pick is also reinventing his entire shooting form), but oh well.

9 months with a college coach who needs to win with the form you came in with

The #5 pick is a guard who can't shoot 3s, and the #2 pick is a guard who might be the worst shooter of all time. The #8 pick is a guard with very good form - it just never goes in.

I think Fultz will be back to normal. He was shooting like that because he literally couldn't lift his shoulder, not because he thought it would help him shoot better

I think somebody will have interest in him. He's a ball-stopper, which this team doesn't need, but he may fit in better somewhere else.

unknown to us, it seems they only have to pay him thru mid january.
month to month, i guess
so it wasn't such a risk signing him

It was kind of shitty of us because he could have made a lot more money in Europe had he been cut sooner. It's whatever though, I don't really care.

Yeah, Im adding this to the pile of crappy moves McD has done--not because it wasn't the right thing to do, but signing James in the first place wasnt the right thing to do, and cutting him 2 days before Christmas just compounds it.
