What about paying that for a 6th man in the mold of a Manu Ginobili? Bogdanovic does much more than just shooting. He is a playmaker who also plays defense and has a high IQ.
Ya, I could see that. Do you think Bogdan and Booker could spend much time on the court together? That would be rough defensively. Bogdan got roasted by Warren a lot last night.
I believe they could nave made it happen. Both are smart players. They can be instructed to prioritize bothering 3pt shots and not spending a ton of energy trying to deny penetrations. If the other three guys behind them do their work (Bender-Len-Jackson, for instance), I could have seen myself loving this lineup.

I hear you, but I believe we should look to trade him while there's still a feeling around the league that he has potential. I am willing to take advantage of any team that thinks Chriss is struggling mainly because the Suns' organization is a mess. Problem is, nobody with an interesting pick in 2018 looks like is in need of a proyect at PF. Perhaps by the deadline some teams are looking to change directions and deem Chriss interesting.

Let's hope he gets good enough that people around the NBA want him.

I'm definitely in the "sell high" crowd on Chriss but it also puts up a red flag when you're looking to trade a 20-21yr old still on a rookie deal.

I think we'd be selling low right now.

We traded Finley after his rookie season. It depends on who you get back - It's not a red flag is Chriss is part of a package for a star.

I was sad we traded Finley, but we got Kidd back, so it was more than worth it.

My dream scenario would be to trade Chriss, our first round pick this year and our Miami pick to the wolves for KAT to unite with Booker. It would never happen, but dreaming is free

Relative to draft position, of course. And to that deceptive second rookie team selection. But are you confident that his stock won't be lower after the season is over? Perhaps this is a case of retrieving as much as you can from your questionable investment while you can.

I believe we could have gotten Drummond this summer for Bledsoe-Chriss-Chandler (maybe plus a pick but not our own). I know you think Andre is just a rebounder (a generational one at that in any case), but look at his advanced defensive stats. Booker already sends lobs to Chandler. Imagine this beast in his absolute prime setting screens for Devin and cleaning up Booker and Warren's misses.

Yeah, dreaming is free haha.

I'm not sure what to expect with Chriss. I was one of his bigger fans at draft time when most people on here weren't too thrilled with his selection, then he had a pretty promising preseason which he followed up by struggling in the first half of his rookie year. He showed some flashes in the second half, but got out of shape and looked pretty bad in summer league. I've seen improvements defensively this year, but his offense regressed. His offense seems to be coming back in these last 3 games. Maybe he's finally getting into shape. If he keeps up his play over the last 3 games, I think he'll have pretty decent value come the off-season. But he could vary well fall off the map again and tank his value even lower.

I just don't think we'd get any good offers for him right now. I'd hold onto him and see how the rest of the season plays out.

The out of shape thing really gets me. It's hard to get fat in 3 months when you are 19! And he has one job, to do everything he can to be great at basketball. How does he let himself go like that in his first NBA offseason??

I think we wanted him to bulk up and he didn't do it the right way. Hopefully he's learned his lesson.

I don’t like Drummond at his cost and still don’t want him, but that would have been a steal for the Suns.

Drummond has made some big improvements this year. He's a legit top 20 guy and would be great here with Booker. I'm curious what the trade would have been last year. McD described it as essentially our top 3 for their top 3. We wouldn't have traded Booker, but Jackson, KCP, Drummond for Bledsoe, Warren, Chandler might have been the trade.

When you have narrow shoulders and a wide lower body, the only way to go is a clean bulk on a controled surplus. Otherwise you end up exposing your pear shape. Chriss doesn't have to know this as a 20 year old, but it is crazy that nobody was around to advise him (or perhaps he was deaf to the advise, but I'd like to give him the bennefit of the doubt). Anyway, as Mori said, to me as a fan this is one of the worst offenses by pro player (Diaw still baffles me).

Last deadline this would have looked terrible for us, but now it's a steal although I dread the thought of Jackson and Knight together on a roster (let alone on the court).

Went back home to Mama's cooking? Barkley would manage to get incredibly out of shape over the summer too. There was one training camp where he was so out of shape he collapsed. BTW, somewhat similar body shape. I wonder if some player just don't have the same metabolism others do, and as soon as they stop playing the regular season, they just balloon.

Jackson's contract is a deal-breaker for me. I'm not a fan at all.
