Let's hope cousins is more Wesley Matthews or Dominique Wilkins and returns to his pre Achilles rupture self. This injury doesn't have a whole lot of historical success stories.

New Orleans still has Ajinca and Asik on the roster, so they are not totally bereft of center talent.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

OMG. Good one.

Also, AJinca is injured too. Knee tendinitis or something.

Well looks like grizzlies are gonna be in the tank race all season. Be interesting what they do with Gasol and Evans at the deadline. Evans seems like a decent chance to move, they probably hang onto Gasol though.

Just did a quick look at who's going to have cap space this summer and there's not a lot.

Lakers and Bulls should have the most space. Philly and Dallas will have a lot. Atlanta, Indiana, Phoenix, and Sacramento should have a decent amount. Orlando and Utah could have cap space, but limited by what they do with their restricted free agents. Brooklyn will have some as well.

Charlotte, Miami, Portland are probably in the worst cap spots with lots of money tied up in so so players.

So, who replaces Cousins in the All-Star game? Just saw something on NBA TV and Booker was one of four choices along with PG, Lou Williams, and Chris Paul.

Does it have to be same position? If so, George is the only front court player of that group. I'd assume George would be the pick anyways.

No to the position question.

That makes it interesting. Who picks? Coaches? LeBron?

I think George is the most deserving. Also gives Chris Paul a few more games to showcase himself.

Commissioner Silver will make the pick. Then D'Antoni will choose who starts in his absence.
