2018 NBA Draft Thread
Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
Thanks for the breakdown, SplitT. I don't have a favorite yet, but Shamet and SAG are up there.
I tend to think Shake is one of those guys who is just physically outplaying college opponents, and he won't do as well under NBA pressure.
Duvall is a bit small for me, and not good enough shooter.
I'm really hoping for a big enough guy to defend bigger scorers if needed. But shooting and IQ are the first things I want.

Do you think Duval is going to come out this year?
I like Shamet but not sure how high I would take him at this point.

I'm not sure who my favorite is yet either. Shake and Shamet are putting up similar numbers and are upperclassmen in non power 5 conferences.O_Gardino wrote:Thanks for the breakdown, SplitT. I don't have a favorite yet, but Shamet and SAG are up there.

SAG probably has the best combination of youth and production.
I don't like Duvall at all. He can't shoot.
Jevon Carter could be another Beverley, which could be pretty nice next to Booker.
Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
If he's a first rounder he should. Needs to capitalize on his high recruit ranking before his play in college drops him into the 2nd round. If he goes back to school, he needs to develop some kind of shot it he won't get drafted high.carey wrote:Do you think Duval is going to come out this year?

Kellan Olson tweeted this out and it's an insane stat:

Gee, a J. Jackson who's known as a G-R-E-A-T defender! Sounds awesome! Players like that always work out and are awesome.
Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
To be fair, our current J. Jackson was not known as a great defender. He was known as a good defender (which means the Suns hyped him, because he could be their best defender).Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:Gee, a J. Jackson who's known as a G-R-E-A-T defender! Sounds awesome! SGA had a really nice night, too. He's working his way up and I no longer expect him to be there at the Miami pick.

Maybe Detroit now moves up and takes Milwaukee's spot.

I know what the acronym means.
Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
I just mean we're going to be spending a lot of time second guessing the decision unless our pick stands out from the start.
Re: 2018 NBA Draft Thread
You think so? There are so many great options...
JJJ is still my favorite, though.
