Well no more monroe so no potential for a trade

I don't get the urgency to do a buyout. Why not wait until after the trade deadline in case an opportunity presents itself.

I’m not among McD haters club, but I don’t get it. If you need a roster spot, there’s better and cheaper ways to get it. Are we allowed to stretch an expiring? Because that at least would provide us with extra cap space and that could make sense within the deadline, but a buyout is different, right?

CJ McCollum dropped 50 today

Wish we drafted him instead of Len.Split T wrote:CJ McCollum dropped 50 today

Just going on the record to say I'm strongly against an Avery Bradley signing unless we can get him on a severe discount. I imagine he's looking for something at least in the Bazemore/Crabbe range ($17M per). Hard pass.
Re: Around the League: Week 16 1/29-2/4
Terry Rozier, on the other hand, may be a good target if we draft Ayton or Bamba (or even Luka).
Re: Around the League: Week 16 1/29-2/4
Another buy-low target: Hezonja.
Re: Around the League: Week 16 1/29-2/4
I like Hezonia in theory, but we are pretty stacked at hi position. If we make a bunch of moves and need a 3, he's definitely someone I would make a low offer for.

Ehh, we've got too many projects on this team already. I'd avoid adding players that need lots of development. We're gonna probably add 2 or 3 rookies next year already.
Re: Around the League: Week 16 1/29-2/4
I wouldn't mind Bradley at $17m. In today's NBA that isn't a bad contract. Bradley is a 3-and-D guy, and we really need both of those skills badly. And I think a Booker/Bradley backcourt (with Booker as the nominal PG) might be a hack that could work for us, since we have had such bad luck finding a traditional PG.

Mirotic is a good player, and room to sign two vet minimum contracts could be huge for the Pels. They really need balance on that roster. For those who haven't followed them much, they start 3 PG and play 2 off the bench.

Pels are on a 2 game losing streak (clippers and kings) and have 5 tough games coming up. They still have every opportunity to miss the playoffs.

Almost every team that handed out those $17M contracts to mediocre "3-and-D" guys immediately came to regret them. Bradley is supposedly a good player, but I think that there's at least he same likelihood that his atrocious season is related to declining skills as it is to circumstance. Hard pass at paying $17M to find out.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I wouldn't mind Bradley at $17m. In today's NBA that isn't a bad contract. He's the worst player in the NBA this season by some metrics. Some players lose it and just don't get it back. No thanks.

Dragic is replacing Kevin Love. He finally made an All-Star team.
