Stormy Daniels
Stormy Daniels
What do y'all think of the whole situation with Trump paying $130k hush money to a porn star to cover up an affair? There might be an FEC violation there related to the use of election campaign funds. It sounds like Stormy will be interviewed on 60 Minutes next Sunday. That should be ... interesting.

It won't mean anything. Trumpism is a full blown cult at this point.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:It sounds like Stormy will be interviewed on 60 Minutes next Sunday. That should be ... interesting.

My in-laws defend everything that is going on and think that Trump is doing a great job. Honestly, how can anybody feel that way with how crazy everything is? The government is being run by a bunch of absolute buffoons and corrupt money-grubbers.

Their argument- The stock market is way up, unemployment is low and the economy is humming along because of Trump. All those bad things don't matter. Democrats and the Media are just trying to bring him down and making up lies..

Re: Stormy Daniels
Exactly. And with all of the deregulation happening (on both sides of the aisle), a crash is coming. But it likely won't happen during his first term. So someone else will come in to clean it up, but get blamed for it at the same time. Critical thinking doesn't happen much anymore in this country. We let others spoon feed us our thoughts (not just Trumpies).Nodack wrote:Their argument- The stock market is way up, unemployment is low and the economy is humming along because of Trump. I saw that an Obama rule requiring financial advisors you hire to act in your best interests has been eliminated today. Now it’s OK for financial advisors you hire to swindle you out of your money.
Perfect!

Re: Stormy Daniels
Swindle might be strong. But yeah, they can work directly in the best interest of themselves or their employer, even it it means it is not in your best interest. Just what we needed. Fucking ridiculous.Nodack wrote:I saw that an Obama rule requiring financial advisors you hire to act in your best interests has been eliminated today. What do you mean "now"? It has always been that way. The law was attempting to change the status quo. There are very few fiduciaries that are required to work in your best interest.Nodack wrote:I saw that an Obama rule requiring financial advisors you hire to act in your best interests has been eliminated today. By the way, I have a whole life policy to sell you. I only get a 20% commission. Then a year from now, for a limited time, we're going to switch you into a different policy but yeah, it too gives me a 20% commision.

Re: Stormy Daniels
This story isn't going away. She has taken a polygraph that verifies that she is telling the truth:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/stormy-dan ... 1521575056
She is suing to break the NDA:
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/20/us/e ... trump.html
And here's a really wacky link. A computer programmer and data analyst decided to crunch the numbers from Trump's campaign org to see if he could find any numerical evidence that maybe Trump paid Stormy illegally out of his campaign funds, which would be a felony and FEC violation. He thinks he has found that evidence. I can't vouch with certainty for the reasoning and math, but he lays out his numbers and how he got to his conclusion. Probably worth further investigation. Take a look:

8,000,000 to 1 odds? That’s something. I read the article. A little over my head but, I got the jist of it.
And now a former Playboy bunny wants out of her agreement with The National Enquire. She wants to tell her Trump story. The owner of The National Enquirer is a good friend of Donald Trump and he wouldn’t put out a story like that. He has a reputation to uphold.

Re: Stormy Daniels
Side note: Has anybody been noticing the covers of the National Enquirer lately when they're in the checkout line at the grocery store? Every issue is some outlandishly positive headline about Donald Trump. It's clear that they are big fans of his or have some kind of relationship with him or something. Their usual headlines about bat boys and celebrity gossip have given way to lots of partisan political headlines and front pages, nearly universally pro-Trump. Interesting.

Also interesting that Trump has attacked just about everyone on Twitter with the exception of Vlad and Stormy. Makes ya wonder what they have on him...

Stormy's lawyer has basically said that they have photos of Trump with her. People think she may have dick pics of Trump. I really don't need to see that, btw.
