Too little, too late in the season for Chriss. We'll see how his offseason goes and if he comes back looking like retired Shaq.
Chriss is a delicate situation. We don't want to give up on him too quickly. He's got a lot of maturing to do.
Earlier in the season when he was throwing fits all the time I was done with him. Now I want to see how he does under a new coach.

I think both Bender and Chriss need to start off next season on the bench. Both need to really realize that they have to earn playing time.

I agree with that. The time for undeserved minutes is over starting next season!

I also support benching either/both of them, assuming that there is anybody better in front of them. I don't support benching them just to bench them, but if we have somebody else at their position, I support letting everybody earn their starting spots.

I started to laugh reading this because I immediately started thinking about the Patriots in the NFL cuz that's how everyone feels when it comes to trading with them

I think you still have to make a decision. If you bring in somebody actually good enough to start, then you aren't going to have minutes left to develop both of them.

Nah, I've seen enough. I'd love to move him this offseason.

I'm not opposed to moving him, but I thought his recent play, admittance to mistakes and a little better attitude has been encouraging.

I hope it's encouraging to GMs around the league.

I will say, his development on the glass has been an unexpected surprise. He's made a big jump recently.

Chriss feels a lot like the Morrii, both in terms of his strengths and his weaknesses. I haven't missed the Morrii since we shipped them out, not even for a second. I think I'll feel the same after we ship Chriss out. If we can get a pick or any other asset for him, let's cut bait.

This was one of my thoughts when we drafted him.

. Even better, since re-entering the starting lineup on March 23, Chriss has averaged 14.7 points on 54.7 percent shooting plus 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and 29.7 minutes in six games.
Chriss might be saving his spot on the roster. If he plays like this, he's a decent prospect.
Many players on the bubble of a roster spot play well during this time of the season. Remember Tyler Ulis last season at this time? Remember Sauce at this time last season? Hell, look at the numbers Marshon Brooks is putting up now after coming back from 3 years away from the NBA.

Post All Star break is when all the scrubs go off because most teams/players quit caring unless their playing for playoff positioning.

Nice article on Devin. Sounds like he wants to be here as Phoenix rises from the ashes:

And yet it may not equate to an all-rookie team. Listening to some of these scouts and analytic guys, they don't have him in any discussions of best rookies.
