Simmons is so good. I knew he would be. I had so much jealousy when the Suns landed in the 4th spot that draft.

Ya I really wanted Simmons that year. He's been my top prospect pre draft since AD

He was phenomenal that game just seems so effortless for him.

It also goes to show how much we tend to focus on the negatives with some prospects. Barkley was critical of Simmons not taking his team to the tournament. He could, and still can't, shoot the ball. But none of that matters. Look at what he's doing at what, 20 years old, with no jumper to speak of? Unreal.

Again, give me the basketball player. Not the guy who just plays basketball.

Yeah this rookie who lost a season to injury is going to lead his team to be one of the top seeds... Probably at least to conference final.. Not since LeBron has a player come in so strong (and no he's not at that level)

Just watched the Clippers get eliminated from the playoffs for the first time in 6 years. They ran out of steam. Denver pretty much demolished them.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Crazy how fifth through ninth all have 45 wins. And the Jazz at number four have 46.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Triple-double for Jokic.

I work with a couple of guys who fight like that occasionally, but it always blows over by the next day. Which I guess is good, because they not only run a business together, they’re also father and son.

Crazy story. Strange how some of the details tend to change from person to person. Here is Miller's account as told by a 3rd person: https://jazzfanatical.wordpress.com/201 ... hat-night/
Of course, none of this addresses what that quote was about, and what had happened in the 1-2 months leading up to this point as the relationship between Jerry and Deron deteriorated, when Deron was doing stuff like going above Jerry’s head to get practices canceled, and ownership and management wanting to protect Deron’s trade value so badly that they wouldn’t allow Jerry to take disciplinary measures.
Go Suns!

From I can recall, there were rumors of tension between DWill and Sloan but Sloan resigning came out of nowhere because he just didn't seem like the guy to up and quit. I remember that trade happening right after the Knicks traded for Melo. Apparently, the Jazz told the Nets during talks that if anything leaked, they were going pull the deal and deny everything. It always stuck with me because I thought if the Knicks had pulled off a trade for DWill and not Melo, they'd have been a lot better off with him running point with Amar'e under MikeD than having Melo there. I'm not sure the Knicks even knew DWill was on the block. Either way, Dolan was dead set on getting Melo so it may not have mattered.

Ironically, MikeD asked the Knicks to trade Melo for DWill a year later otherwise he'd resign. Dolan said no.

The league standings are pretty interesting going into the playoffs. The East has locked up all 8 of its playoff teams; Detroit is 9th and has been eliminated from playoff consideration. (How embarrassing for SVG and Blake and the rest.) The West still has 9 teams eligible, with Denver currently on the outside looking in. Oddly even the 5th seed, the Pelicans, still haven't locked up their playoff spot because any team that lost out could still be eliminated!

Denver and Minny play last day of the season, winner is gonna get the last playoff spot, most likely.

Miami loses, Milwaukee wins.

Milwaukee 44-37
Miami 43-38
Washington 42-38

Chances aren't looking good for the Suns getting the Bucks' pick this year.

Yeah, I already gave up the dream, but hopefully it's for the best as McD didn't really want it this year anyway.

Ya I think not having it this year actually makes it easier to trade for a vet which is what I think he wants

So Denver vs Minny on Wednesday for the last playoff spot. The other 7 all clinched. We could still see a 4-way tie for 3rd, it's gonna get crazy these last two days.
