I don't want anyone who slows down the team. Conley and Gasol play a different pace than Booker and Jackson. Plus, I don't want those contracts.

Clifford would give us a Skiles like improvement on defense and add some discipline. it'd be an extreme change but maybe the kind of kick we need to jump start things.

Does Clifford play slow, though? I don't mind a tough defensive coach as long as he still lets the guys run on offense.

Clifford is a rare coach who has worked for a defensive coach in Van Gundy and also for D'Antoni. Theoretically, he could bring the best of both worlds. In theory.

I wonder who is left. Igor? Clifford? Borrego? McHale? not a really attractive list, I guess Igor seems like the real upside hire here.
