Let’s see. During this current playoff drought, we’ve already been in 7 lotteries, 2011-17. Three drawings per lottery, that’s 21 drawings with our balls in the hopper for every one of them, and never once coming up. Add the coin flip for the Milwaukee pick this year, and that’s 22 consecutive random events that haven’t gone our way. Go back and count earlier lottery trips...

I’m exhausted. I guess the last time something broke our way was the drawing for the #2 pick in ‘87 (which was a poor consolation prize, considering the #1 pick was David Robinson). Since then, how many consecutive random events (drawings and coin flips) have failed to break our way? Somebody else count.
