I can't see a way to do that. Doncic would have to fall and you'd have to find a team that wants to win now...except we don't have a ton of win now pieces.

Memphis would be the team. Draft Ayton at 1, see some combination of JJJ/Bagley/Porter/Bamba go 2-3 and Memphis say, let's just go all in on Conley/Gasol. We'd have to use our assets(#16, future picks, Chriss/Bender) to get some win now pieces to send with maybe Warren.

But we'd need to find a team with win now pieces that fit Memphis. Then we'd need that team to want to retool through the draft and prefer what we can offer over the #4 pick.

I think the chances are very very low.
Sure the chances are low, but it's not impossible. #4 and Memphis is the target, then collude with Doncic's camp to fall to 4 after the deal has completed(unlike Curry deal). It's a win win win win win deal all the way. Phoenix wins, Booker wins, Ayton wins, Doncic wins, Memphis wins.

Of course. And it's the coaches job to dictate how a team plays together.

there's one problem though... memphis wants doncic. he's the most nba ready and playoff ready player besides mikal bridges.

dallas wants doncic too.

Could happen, I like Bagley and he's a pretty good fit in Sacramento.

It's possible, Giles will be ready by next year, but those knees.

Possibly, but they may want to win now, restock with young promising players, be able to continue to rebuild without tanking and get cap relief more. I wouldn't care about Dallas, unless they are a threat to jump to #2 or #3.

I think they'd be very dumb to count on Giles for anything other than a 7th-9th guy. Then again, it's the Kings, so they're probably projecting him to be an All-Star.

Here's an idea...

Draft Ayton
Trade Warren/Chandler/Dudley to CHA for Kemba/Batum/Marvin

Kemba/Booker/Jackson/Marvin/Ayton with
Knight/Shaq/Batum/Bender/Chriss off the bench.

That's a ton of salary to take on, but it's a solid team. I think Charlotte would gladly clear that space. Question is can we get another pick out of them as well.

Am I crazy?
Kemba has 1 year at 12 million
Batum has 3 more years at like 24 million
Marvin has 2 more years at 15 million.

If you can turn all the remaining assets into another piece, it could be fun. Or just be a playoff team with Kemba/Batum and keep building a young core around Booker/Jackson/Ayton with our draft pick stash.

Watching the actual drawing of numbers and after being drawn for the first pick, Suns' numbers came up the first two times for the second pick before the Kings' number came up.

Yep, I think that happened last year with Boston as well if I remember correctly.

You just have to wonder about the intelligence of anyone who says these lotteries are rigged. Not only are they overseen by an independent accounting firm, but rigging the drawing would mean leaving the league open to charges of fraud and probable lawsuits by teams and fans.

And yet everywhere you go, you see fans claiming things are "rigged" when their team doesn't win.

Vlade will gladly take the best Euro basketball prospect ever if the Suns are foolish enough to pass on him.
Foolish enough? You like him better than Ayton?
60% of this board likes him better than Ayton

What's your point? I'm just asking you. You really think it's foolish to pick Ayton over Doncic? And as much as I'd like to think that this board is the center of the Suns fan universe, there are other boards that much prefer Ayton. (See ASFN)

I'd put my house down that Vlade doesn't pass on Doncic. That front office and ESPECIALLY that ownership LOVE their Euro players. I can't imagine how happy Vivek Randadive is tonight...Mrs Randadive may get the best sex of their marriage tonight from him.
