I am not as concerned about his athleticism as some seem to be. He is basically Joe Johnson's size (I think he is half an inch shorter) and weight when he came into the league. He can use that to his advantage. I don't ever remember anyone saying Joe was really athletic, and it hasn't held him back at all.
Yeah, I agree. I'm not worried about Luka's athleticism either. He's a decent athlete and it will improve as he goes to P3 this summer along with developing better eating habits.
And as he hits puberty.

Another way to think of it is that he's the size of LeBron and modeled his game after LeBron. Similar to how Booker came into the league playing like 30 year old Kobe, Doncic is going to play in the same style as 30 year old LeBron. Both shoot more and dunk less than their idol did at the same age.

Why are you so sure he's going to P3?
He went a year or two ago and supposedly improved substantially. I read somewhere he plans to go again but can't find it now.

I thought I read he went there a couple summers ago and plans on going there this summer again after Real's playoffs.

Physically, Ayton reminds me more of Darryl Dawkins than Amar'e. Except he's quicker and more skilled than Dawkins. Amar'e was a high-volume and efficient scorer, and an adequate rebounder, but not much of a defender. I think Ayton will probably be a better player in the long run (if Amar'e had stayed healthy, that's another story).
Joe Johnson was/is a fantastic post-up player and perimeter shooter, but Doncic is more of a facilitator than Joe was here - we had a little Canadian guy doing most of that. JJ also scored 20,000 points, is 10th all-time in 3's made, was named to the All-Star team 7 times, and was a solid defender so I'm not making that comparison quite yet. Doncic has to show he's not a defensive liability and that his relative lack of quickness doesn't hurt him.

This is why so few women participate on boards like this.
Well, it’s one of the reasons.
Maybe every now and then we could try letting a picture of a woman pass without everybody commenting on her looks.
Yeah, I know, MEE was cool with it. A lot of people aren’t.
