I only had a chance to see the last 6 minutes and the post game interviews and I totally agree. Van Gundy brings it up during the game, Doris Burke says it to LeBron on the court after the game, and then repeats it again to Tyrone Lue during the trophy presentation with the entire Cavs roster standing behind him.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 8:48 pmI thought it was extremely disrespectful to to the rest of the Cavs. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 8:05 pmVan Gundy's talk of this being an unprecedented instance of a player carrying a mediocre supporting cast to the Finals needs to recall Moses Malone and the 1981 Houston Rockets (40-42 in the regular season).

You could see it on LeBrons face after the presentation when he got the fuck outta there, he was like GTFO with those questions. Was not pleased.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 9:33 pmI only had a chance to see the last 6 minutes and the post game interviews and I totally agree. I don't think the Cavs can beat GS or Houston. Ugly game between both teams, really disappointing. Not taking anything away from LeBron but the Cs lost that game more than the Cavs won it. Terrible shot selection from both teams, defense was terrible, maybe the moment got to guys like Brown and Rozier. I don't think Stevens got outcoached, he just didn't settle his team down like he should've. I also don't know how anyone watching the Cavs can think Lue does anything during games.
Re: 2018 NBA Playoffs, Third Round (Conf. Finals)
Lebron was amazing. Willed his team to the Finals again. Really awesome performance from him.
Tonight's Rockets/Warriors game should be really interesting. No idea who will win. GS looked really tentative last time in Houston. I thought they got out of their offense and just let KD try to go 1-on-1 awkwardly against swingmen like Ariza and Gordon. I think if GS keeps the ball moving and lets Curry/Klay carry the offense more, they'll win it. But Houston has that home crowd cheering them on, and all their role players like Tucker, Ariza, Gordon, etc. play so well at home. Even without Chris Paul, I think they have a way better chance to win than a lot of the pundits are giving them.

Bookies are offering about 5:2 on Houston, which strikes me as excessive.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 7:48 amLebron was amazing. Willed his team to the Finals again. Really awesome performance from him.

I don't think the Rockets stand a chance, even if Paul plays.
Re: 2018 NBA Playoffs, Third Round (Conf. Finals)
Warriors are obviously the better team when they want to be, as evidenced by the 40 point win in game 3 and the 30 point swing in the second half of game 6. The question is whether they can turn that on when they need it or if it's a gear they may struggle to find.
Re: 2018 NBA Playoffs, Third Round (Conf. Finals)
I really can't walk away from that game saying LeBron "willed" his team to the finals. The Celtics were garbage, and played like a team led by guys in their first and second years. LeBron had a phenomenal game, but I don't think his "will" had anything to do with the Celtics playing AWFUL.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 7:48 amLebron was amazing. Iguodala ruled out for Game 7, not that it seems they’ve been missing him.

Jeff Van Gundy was asking at the end of the game why Lue isn't getting more credit as a great coach. Well, because you're winning because of LeBron. I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's a great coach.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 5:31 amI don't think the Cavs can beat GS or Houston. Ugly game between both teams, really disappointing. Well, ya gotta give Lue credit for starting LeBron and playing him a lot of minutes. There are 29 head coaches in the league who don’t start LeBron. What are they thinking?!Superbone wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 12:28 pmGood point. I think LeBron played every minute last game. Re: 2018 NBA Playoffs, Third Round (Conf. Finals)
I was just looking at how much he carried the team all series with huge numbers, how nobody else consistently stepped up for Cleveland, and I especially was thinking of that play near the end of Game 7 where the Celtics tried to foul Lebron on his drive, but he still made the layup and flexed and yelled. It was really symbolic to me. They grabbed and tugged on him but they still couldn't stop him. So the Cavs are going to the Finals.INFORMER wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 10:37 amI really can't walk away from that game saying LeBron "willed" his team to the finals.
