https://twitter.com/esidery/status/1003051997124128770 Can't see us doing it as we already have 3 top 31 picks and this would take us out of the FA market. Still getting the 14th pick for taking on 1 year and 13 million dollars is a great deal. Especially since next year is the opportune time to have cap space anyways.
Maybe a three-team deal, where we use 14 and 16 to move up?
Ya, I thought about that as an option. It still takes us out of the FA market so we better be trading up for someone special. Would have to be getting a top 7 guy(Porter, Carter, JJJ, Bamba, Bagley, Doncic, Ayton) Porter and Carter seem like the most likely to fall, so Porter if we draft Ayton, Carter if we draft Doncic.

It would give us another asset and expiring contract to trade for a star. It's a tempting offer.

I would certainly go a couple #2's (including he 31st pick) and filler (Troy Daniels, etc.?) for Faried and #14.

This means renouncing RFAs Len and Payton however, and would use all their cap space.

The Suns will never do it because it makes too much sense.

Can Faried play small-bal Center? And how high can we get packaging #14 and #16? #8 or #9?

Could Trae Young be there? Sexton almost assuredly will be. Likely both of the Bridges too.

I think a lot depends on Orlando. There will be some movement between now and the draft, but it feels like Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, Bamba, and JJJ are the top 5. I think Porter and Carter are next at 6/7 but Orlando could push one of them down by drafting Trae at 6. But one of those guys will be available at 8. 9 probably has none of those guys, but has the Bridges, SGA, Sexton, and Zhaire

I think Porter Jr. could sneak in at 4 or 5, depending on what happens to Doncic. I really think Orlando will go with Trae Young.

Definitely, if Ayton/Doncic/Bagley all go top 3, I can see Memphis taking Porter

I have serious reservations over any scenario that has us playing both Kemba and Knight.

Besides, if DEN is truly interested in using #14 to dump one year of Faried, we should just take it and run.

As it is, we are 5M under the cap. Sauce's unguaranteed contract (wink wink) and Troy Daniels would work. Send DEN cash to offset Daniels $3.2M next season.

We'd have to find an agreement on the compensation for the #14, minus our trouble for taking Faried's contract. #31 seems too light for DEN, and a future 2ndR wouldn't move the needle. On the other hand, MIL's pick would be too much for my taste.

I'd put Chriss on the table and a future 2ndR. If they don't value Chriss for themselves (they have Lyles), would try to find a third team that takes him and send DEN a pick in the 20s this draft. Would look at ATL, IND and UTA. Maybe CHI.

I've been thinking of the following:

Eat Faried's salary and take on #14 for our troubles.

Trade Faried's expiring + Chriss + #31 to Miami for Dragic

Draft Ayton #1 overall.

Trade Jackson to SAC + #14 + #16 for #2 overall and draft Doncic.

Roll out:

Dragic
Booker
Doncic
Bender
Ayton

Fill out the bench.

No real news in this, but there is a funny tweet from Dudley. Evidently he feels he is being groomed to be McD or Kokoskov's replacement.

I’m gonna be really pissed at Oliver for that, once I finally stop laughing.
