I’d be very surprised if Bender and Chriss play SL. Chriss thought he was too good for it last year, let alone a 3rd year.
He wasn't.
He still isn’t.

Neither is JJ. Not sure how I feel about him saying he might play a few games. Guess it depends on the context of that convo. Hopefully he plays all of them. He needs to get better.

Probably just a favor to local boy Ristic. No interest in considering him to be a Sun.

Riostic is one of the players who had been working out here at Talking Stick prior to the draft.

Why not let him & Williams fight it out for a back up role on our team. May the best man win.

Pick whichever one doesn't cost 5.5m to sit on the bench and hand out high 5s.

I know he was injured all last year but I feel like you forgot how good Williams was when he played. He was a double-double machine anytime he got meaningful minutes. The offense -such as it was- ran much, much better when he was on the floor vs. Len or Chandler.

Williams is much, much better than Ristic. Easy decision.

I havent forgot what he did, during our lets just use our garbage at the end of the year phase, he was a good story, was glad he was re-signed cheap last year, no interest in paying him this year. I can't see Chandler moving, so I see no role for him.

I don't think Chandler will be playing steady minutes. We have to think of Chandler the way we think of Dudley, as a bench veteran guy who mostly just mentors younger players and plays occasional spot minutes. Chandler should not be thought of as our backup C. By that logic we have only one rotation center (Ayton) and need an actual backup for him to be our bench center. Williams is that guy.

Absolutely agree. I really think his injury specifically was what really broke the camels back last season, because of what he helped the bench unit create.

No way they pay Chandler 14m or whatever not to play.

We are going to do it one way or the other. "one way, or the other, I'm gonna getcha, getcha, getcha"

But they will pay Dudley 10m not to play?

If Dudley would lose 20 lbs this offseason, he could actually fill the vet stretch 4 role. He's a good shooter, smart player. Just wasn't close to basketball shape last year.

I think they'll use Chandler more than Dudley, so between the 2, after having drafted Bridges, yes, I think Dudley will be the one who gets paid not to play.

We did it for 36 games last year, and 35 the year before.
