I would love to leave it at one pick, but If our own pick is lottery protected, we are sending two 1st in the late teens, an unproven and volatile young man, and Warren for an All Star. And the Cavs would let KLove go, only because they already have Nance. No way they send them both.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 7:54 amI think that's way too much for Kevin Love. Honestly, I think Chriss and the Milwaukee pick is plenty. I'd be tempted to give up a little more if they threw in Nance.Aztec Sunsfan wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 6:49 amBased on this and that Tim guy, my guess would be a trade with Cleveland around Kevin Love (a “Big” coming here), involving expiring contracts and future picks, signaling them entering into rebuild and letting James go.
Make it Warren, Chriss and Dudley please, with the Mil pick and our own (heavily protected), and JUST Kevin coming here. II think Cleveland would want to dump JR Smith or Clarkson on us, and then I would counter with swapping Thompson for Chandler and Daniels (throw in) and lowering the protections on our pick (Top 4, just in case the ping pong balls smile at us again)

Reed's guarantee pushed back until after Summer League. Interesting.

And, as someone said about Ulis, it wakes his expiring contract tradeable.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I have never seen much in Reed. I know some here are big fans of his, but I have always liked Daniels much more as a bench SG.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I think he meant expiring next summer. So if we need some $$ to make a trade work out right under the cap, we can exercise his option then trade him.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I didn't mean expiring, I mean guaranteed. Like, we could use him as salary filler in a trade then the other team could cut him and save some $.

I AM REDEEMED
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
Obviously Reed's expendable with Bridges here so I'm not that upset, but I do like his game and what I saw in limited opportunities. Sucks that it was a lost season for him in his rookie year.

What do we get for redeeming you?

He never looked as good as he did in 2017 summer league action again. I hope it was due to injury and he can become that player again. At the time, I got flashes of "Sweet D" Walter Davis. Never saw that during the regular season after returning from injury.

Gambo is going crazy over VanVleet on the air today. He's even trying to recruit him on Twitter.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
It has not been a great offseason for Gambo. Almost all of his predictions and "insider" "source" reports have been completely wrong. It seems like he's just another local media guy wanting to fool people into thinking he has inside sources and gossip when he actually doesn't.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
He has a serious crush on the guy. It's a little weird to me, what am I missing in regards to FVV?

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I think his track record is good enough to say he does have Suns sources. As far as the draft, he misread a text from the Suns about trading with the Clippers (embarrassing mistake), and McDonough did make it sound like they were going to pick DiVencenzo until the 76ers offered Bridges. I'll admit he was wrong about the Suns only trading up for Porter or Trae Young though.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 2:39 pmIt has not been a great offseason for Gambo. Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I guess he sees it like another Eric Bledsoe situation, where FVV is ready to blow up. Bledsoe was a backup on the Clippers until he came to the Suns and became a starter.
Bledsoe (2012-13): 20.4 mpg, 8.5 ppg, 3.1 apg, 3.0 rpg.
VanVleet (2017-18): 20.0 mpg, 8.6 ppg, 3.2 apg, 2.4 rpg.
Similar shooting percentages also.

I don't watch a lot of Raptors but I'll say that he seems like a guy that can defend his position, shoot the 3 and pass while maintaining a good assist:turnover ratio.
