Right? I'm envisioning even Webster could be better.

Shit I'd take the Point Guard from the NZ team.

If Harrison makes the roster this year I think he'll be the board whipping boy.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:11 pmDeandre Ayton is really f*** good.
Ryan Anderson is REALLY f*** bad.
I think Anderson may be my Alex Len this year, going to be whining about him a lot at this rate.
Shaq Harrison is not a starting PG. Sorry, he's just not. Okobo fits the role better already.
Ariza looks good.

I just think Pat Beverly would be perfect for this team. He played well too in the Clippers first game.

If we had a competent point guard I think this team would finish close to .500. As it stands right now? We'll be lucky to get 33.

I'm ready for the Suns to trade Bender, Warren, and Harrison for a decent PG.
Holmes ANOTHER offensive foul? My goodness...

I think this is totally incorrect. There is a role he can play in the NBA. We are just asking him to do things he isn't suited for.

He would make an excellent entertainment employee at half time to run the court and jump off a trampoline.
Theres no role for him to play in the NBA. There's no role for someone who is terrible at offense in this league. It's just changed. He's a PG who can't distribute and a SG who can't shoot. That's not going to work.

I really like Holmes.

Harrison isn't really a PG. He's got value, but he's gonna look bad as a starting NBA PG. I think we might need to go get one. I like Okobo and Melton as prospects, but they're not ready. Beverley would be nice...maybe the clippers would be interested in Bender?

Ok, I'm a little to salty about Holmes. He could be decent, but needs to stop turning it over with dumb fouls

Defensive specialist for what? One possession and then call time-out as soon as we get the ball to sub him out? Teams just don't do that.iLLmatic wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:55 pmWhat role is that? It's easier to hide a wing player or big who sucks at offense. It's really difficult to hide a guard on offense. He makes terrible decisions and is wild too so it's not like he plays within himself on offense.

Lol, sure, that's not going to work in the playoffs when teams are scheming against you. But Shaq could easily be a 12th man, play D off the bench, change the pace of the game a bit, soak up 14 minutes per game in February type of player.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:55 pmHe would make an excellent entertainment employee at half time to run the court and jump off a trampoline.

Change the pace as in drive really quickly into the lane, throw it away, and then allow a 4 on 5 on the other end type of pace? Lol

It's really not worth it to be arguing about this.
Re: Game Day (Preseason): Breakers (0-0) @ Suns (0-1), Wed 10/03/18
He's a 5th guard. A break in case of emergency combo guard that can play well on one side of the floor. He's a good enough athlete that you can't completely ignore him as he can get to the rim. Problem is we're developing him as a PG, when he should focus on just hitting a spot up 3. 3D combo guard is his only path to meaningful minutes in the NBA.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:58 pmDefensive specialist for what? That's the only counter argument I can think of that would've been made.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 8:58 pmDefensive specialist for what? This team feels similar to that 2004-2005 team. We just need a conductor to come in here and orchestrate it
