Doncic - 19 assists, 19 turnovers in 5 games
Ayton - 19 assists, 4 turnovers (playing his 5th game)
Who's the better playmaker?

Warren's passing has improved quite a bit.

Let’s not. They’re both going to be great.
This is shaping up to be the best draft class in a decade

A score on that last possession would have been good

Well, the Suns won the quarter and cut the lead.
That's progress of a sort.

I like this lineup.
Okobo Crawford Bridges Warren Ayton

Ayton is amazing. He is essentially an out-of-the-box offense on his own as a rookie. This is the best passing from a rookie center I have ever seen.
Re: Game Day: Suns (1-3) @ Grizzlies (2-2), Sat 10/27/18
Ayton’s passing looks better in the pros than it did in college. He’s so methodical and patient. He doesn’t rush a single pass. What a feel for the game.
Re: Game Day: Suns (1-3) @ Grizzlies (2-2), Sat 10/27/18
Ayton is directing people on offense now.

One more bit of joy to extract from this dumpster fire is how good EJ is. He is really one of the best color guys out there. Insightful, direct, honest, funny. He gets an A+ from Nathan.
Re: Game Day: Suns (1-3) @ Grizzlies (2-2), Sat 10/27/18
Ayton is too good for all of this. He's the only one who looks like an NBA player.
But this is bad overall. Something's obviously very wrong.

During that 18 or so second offensive trip down the court Bender went to the corner and didn't even move an inch until the shot went up when he started running back. Not even a little shuffle. I just don't understand how you can be so damn passive on the court.
Re: Game Day: Suns (1-3) @ Grizzlies (2-2), Sat 10/27/18
These games are really rough to watch. Ayton is really good but not very flashy. So even when he is doing very well it doesn't cover for all the shitty basketball everyone else is playing. Hard to get stoked about him hitting a jumper. Although his shooting percentage is just insane.
We have to surround Booker/Ayton with defensive players.

Five games in and Ayton is already the Suns' best player -

Has anybody ever won ROTY on a 1-81 team?

Agree.
He has to be hurting to see how low this once-proud franchise has sunk.
