I agree.rhylek wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 8:12 pmShaq is a third string pg, Reed is the guard version of Bender, Melton has yet to prove his value and if he'll be in the league in 4 years... We supposedly did a favor to Chandler by waiting to buy him out. Been a long time someone left this organisation in good terms. Maybe they are trying to show they now will treat their players better. May be more valuable in the long term than those bench fillers we could have kept...

We knew it was going to be a brutal early schedule. I even expected to go 1-6 over the first 7 games. What was disconcerting was not even being competitive in most of those games. Losing by 20 in every game starts messing with your head.
Re: Suns News: Week 3 10/29-11/4
Yeah, there were a lot of issues between wins. It has gotten a lot better the last two games.

Nash was in 2012. Dudley was in 2013 (was it really a favor, to me it was a normal trade, which brought us our beloved Bledsoe).
Since then, we alienated a lot of players and our reputation hit rock bottom...
Re: Suns News: Week 3 10/29-11/4
BTW, the Suns remind me a lot of my favorite soccer club. For a few years, it was owned by a Sarver clone who messed everything. The fans hated him so much that he had to sell the club. After a few hit and miss, the new owner brought the best belgian coach in and now he is trying to install a new system, a new culture. This guy is a winner, but for now he's losing, or at least not winning as much as he's used to. That's because not all the players are able to understand the new system. Even some very good players took time to get it.
I feel Igor is in a similar situation : some players have still to assimilate the system, but with time they might get it. If they don't, they need to go, no matter how skilled they are.

Re: Suns News: Week 3 10/29-11/4
It was not. I think that is the only place that Dudley is pretty open about never wanting to play there.

BTW, gotta say, that was one of the most idiotic fouls I’ve ever seen.Booker also received help from his friends. After he picked up his fifth foul with 5:45 left in the third quarter
I guess it worked out, since he came back and had a terrific fourth quarter after the long rest, but dayum, what was he thinking?

I felt that way about half his fouls last night. Just stupid stuff. Maybe just tired legs still? Not 100%?Cap wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:44 amBTW, gotta say, that was one of the most idiotic fouls I’ve ever seen.Booker also received help from his friends. As i remember, Dudley wanted out and he liked that move:
https://twitter.com/JaredDudley619/status/352188117672935424 Its not that hard to alienate players like Marion or Dragić, dont give them money they want or wear some other player jersey and they go beserk.
U cant play nice with players if u are weak team, and Suns played nice from JJ until now.
Re: Suns News: Week 3 10/29-11/4
He did not enjoy his time there though

Yes she is. Suns_Dave, great having you posting but we aren't allowed to post full articles from other sites. We could get into legal trouble. The rule of thumb is to post the link and then we can quote a couple paragraphs. Thanks!

Correct. He was happy to go there but he was miserable while he was there and glad to get out. Interesting that he is currently a regular rotation player with the Nets this season.

Re: Suns News: Week 3 10/29-11/4
I caught 3 quarters of the Memphis game. I have to say the activity level has been markedly better. Also I'm a huge Holmes fan. Not saying that he's gonna amount to much on court production but his ability and willingness to give up his body to impact plays has been refreshing. Saw some chatter in another thread (or maybe this one?) about Alan Williams and I have to say, while I loved Williams for his enthusiasm, they are not anywhere near the same type of player and Holmes is a much better fit for today's NBA.
Also love Mikal's activity level and incredible length. Hopefully he can build on this game.
