Game Day: Suns (3-13) @ Bulls (4-13), Wed 11/21/18

I think we need to keep Ariza in the mix starting and trying to keep his value up until he's traded. Can't bench him and risk devaluing him or having him become an issue.

Can we just agree with the Bulls to swap Canaan with Shaq pre-game? Should just be an easy jersey swap.

I LOVE WATCHING ARIZA AND CANAANANAAAN SHOOT 3s.
Love, Hurts.

Ayton is showing progress defensively this game when it comes to helping on drives. That's very encouraging.

TJ is such a freak on the break.
Re: Game Day: Suns (3-13) @ Bulls (4-13), Wed 11/21/18
Yeah that little spurt he had on his rotations was nice, but thats not been the problem imo. He does that, its the other guys who dont rotate and makes Ayton look bad.
Love, Hurts.

That was some high level skill by TJ to control the pass and score on the break.

I love this lineup with Booker/Bridges/Jackson/TJ/Ayton. Happy to see Kokoskov is giving it some run early in the game. This is the earliest Jackson has checked in in a while. Maybe a sign that he is starting to rebuild a little trust with the coaching staff?

Suns are off to a good start defensively, apart from a few lapses on broken plays. Man-to-man has been really solid and they're switching well. Mikal forces a turnover as soon as he enters the game. The progress on that end of the floor is really, really nice to see.
Ayton with 6 and 6 so far.

He's kinda useful when he's not in full trashcan mode.
Love, Hurts.

I couldn't disagree more! So far this seasons, he has struggled to make even basic reads when it comes to helping. This is the NBA. People are going to break down the first defender down and get to the rim. Ayton needs to learn to help - that is a center's more important role defensively.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:27 pmYeah that little spurt he had on his rotations was nice, but thats not been the problem imo. Booker with a bad quarter offensively, though he's made a nice pass or two.
Suns give up an uncontested 3 to end the quarter.

Haha yaaaa. I think we kind of did him a disservice putting him in the playmaker role early in the season. He's just not ready for that. This is where he excels, playing D, cutting off ball, driving hard to the rim.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:29 pmHe's kinda useful when he's not in full trashcan mode.

Surprising that a 20 year old rookie isn't able to adjust to the NBA less than a quarter of the way into the season and make those basic reads and help. It's almost like he's inexperienced against NBA players.n4th4n wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:30 pmI couldn't disagree more! What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I think Kyle Ray thinks Ryan Arcidiacono's name is Archie Diacono.

Ayton is kinda looking a little bit unstoppable right now...
