Phoenix Mercury appreciation thread
Phoenix Mercury appreciation thread
A hard-fought win with a dramatic finish over Minnesota last night improved the Mercury's record to 26-4, with four games to play. The record for victories in a regular season is 28, so the Mercury appear to be on the verge of making history. Go Mercury!
(Note that the best winning percentage of all time is owned by the 1998 Houston Comets, who went 27-3. That winning percentage of .900 is out of reach for the Mercury, but they can still set the record for most wins due to the longer season.)

I think it is great! I have been DVRing their games when ever they are on ESPN 2. They are fun to watch.
Re: Phoenix Mercury appreciation thread
thanks for the heads up.
Re: Phoenix Mercury appreciation thread
Last night's game was on NBA TV. Their next game is Tuesday night at New York, which I think is not on TV. Wednesday night they play at Atlanta, and that game will be on both FSN AZ and NBA TV.

don't you meant Phoenix Life Lock? Who are these Mercury you speak of.

The Mercury beat New York last night, improving their record to 27-4. The remaining three games are all on TV.
Tonight they play Atlanta at 4:00 Arizona time. The game will be on FSAZ and NBATV.

Looks like they're resting Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor.
The Dream have lost five in a row. This should be considerably less epic than that Minnesota game.

(I admit the joke was in poor taste; if I were a better person, I probably wouldn't find any humor there, carry on).

The Mercury beat the Storm tonight, finishing the season at 29-5 and setting a new WNBA record for regular season wins. Playoffs start Friday against the Sparks.
