He is devastated by Canaan's departure.

Okobo has played well. I’m so happy Canaan is gone. Clearly it was a management move to force Igor to stop playing Canaan and I’m sure they felt that was the only way to force his hand.
Ayton is showing all of his warning signs in this game. Playing lazy, slow defensively, extremely timid and soft offensively. Honestly he shouldn’t be in this game down the stretch, Holmes should be in. Another sign that Igor has no sense and no balls.

Agreed that Ayton should be benched down the stretch. I'm also struggling to figure out why Ariza played 39 minutes tonight.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 10:44 pmOkobo has played well. Gotta love Sports Center highlighting plays where Boban is outplaying Ayton.

Okobo was impressive. I liked his aggressiveness even more than his stat line. Next step is consistency.
Imagine if Ayton had the same motor as Harrell. He doesn't but just imagine.
I still don't get the stretches by Jackson where he fouls 3 times in 15 seconds. Infuriating.
This team has to lead the league in dumb plays. TJ stepping over the line while trying to inbound. Like cmon dude!
Ariza driving to the basket is an automatic turnover. Every. Single. Time.
Suns got abused by Boban. Maybe next time we can suit up Hamed Haddadi and have Clash of the Titans night.
I'm tired of losing.

Boban's per 36 minutes for his career - 23.1 pts, 14.8 reb, 57.2 FG%
His career PER of 27.8 puts him between Michael Jordan (27.9) and LeBron James (27.7), and ahead of Shaq (26.4), David Robinson (26.2) and Wilt Chamberlain (26.1).

Canaan is gone. Now I can’t wait for Dec 15 to unload Arizas dead weight so Igor can’t keep forcing him onto us. Should have seen more Jackson and Bridges tonight.Xylus wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 10:49 pmAgreed that Ayton should be benched down the stretch. You have to be truly bad if you are playing 26mpg and starting 75% of the games yet you get released out of nowhere without the team even making a move to add someone to replace you (other than finally giving Okobo playing time).specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:35 pmCanaan is gone. Still think choosing him over Shaq was dumb.

Gotta give props to Jackson. He's been much better and more under control lately. His early-season stretch was pretty concerning.
Okobo was a really nice bright spot. Like other's have asked, what took so long?
Holmes is just a delight. I was excited when we got him, but he's blown past my most optimistic expectations.

Sorry, Indy. Just reading this for the first time. I had great seats but that arena is just too crowded. Not enough room to text!

Yup, worst game of his career thus far. He needs to learn to hold the ball up high and also to make decisive moves before the defense can react.

How about JJ and Okobo? Great games for them.
Very good game from both of them. I think we found our starting point guard.

We are so much smaller than the Clippers. They had 3 big guys at all times. We just had Ayton and Holmes; never at the same time. Tough to compete when there are constant mismatches.

I expected to see a new thread. I didn't see any news prior to the game and was wondering why he wasn't with the team tonight. I was delighted with Okobo's play tonight. I was also delighted when I googled Canaan on the way home from the game to find out he had been waived.Cap wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:58 amAnd the news barely even registers with the team’s most obsessed fans.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:08 amYou have to be truly bad if you are playing 26mpg and starting 75% of the games yet you get released out of nowhere without the team even making a move to add someone to replace you (other than finally giving Okobo playing time).specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 11:35 pmCanaan is gone. I could tell from the start of the game that neither team was especially "up" for the game. The first few minutes were brutal as no one seemed engaged. We eventually snapped out of it, but I could tell Ayton didn't really show up to play. I don't know if it was Boban or the 2nd night of a back to back but someone needs to get on him and light a fire.

Marjanovic looks like he's a bit trimmer, maybe losing 15-20 lbs to gain more agility.
Not that he's Kareem-like on the court, but he looks more mobile.
He no doubt learned some lessons from his stint with the Spurs and with the Pistons, get beat on by Drummond in practice with Detroit.
As EJ mentioned, he's become a slightly shorter version of Mark Eaton.

We ought to be able to outrun them, but we don't run this year.

It’s hard to run when you’re inbounding the ball each time instead of taking the rebound and running with that.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 8:07 amWe ought to be able to outrun them, but we don't run this year.
