Lol, I thought it was "super duper extreme". Clearly one beer was really a mickey.Superbone wrote:Yep, I expected two so this is a 50% increase. Four games are reserved for "super duper extreme".Cap wrote:Two games is the standard for DUI. Three is pushing it, but so is "super extreme," so pushing the standards a little in this case is justified. Any more would probably provoke a confrontation with the players union.

Tucker got off pretty easily considering how stupid and reckless he was.

Let's just hope he learns from the experience and it never happens again. Maybe he even helps others from letting it happen to them. The Bobster wrote:Tucker got off pretty easily considering how stupid and reckless he was.

So now, will TJ get the start for three games, do great, and never look back? PJ can be the drunk driving suspension version of Wally Pipp. The Bobster wrote:Tucker got off pretty easily considering how stupid and reckless he was.

Heh, sorta like Googs and Amare.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Losing your starting position to TJ Warren isn't like losing it to Cal Ripken. You still get to play. Tucker can be effective as a starter or a reserve, so if Warren works well as a starter, why not?

I'm all for it as long as Warren's net contribution is bigger than Tucker's. That would mean we have a really nice rookie in our hands.

What a guy. Small dude with a big heart.
Can you be a fan favorite before you play a single game?Phoenix Suns guard Isaiah Thomas will donate 300 backpacks to Valley youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, IG Homes branch.
The backpacks will be filled with essential school supplies including notebooks, markers, glue sticks, rulers and more. Following the donation, the new Suns guard will sign autographs and interact with the children in attendance.
Thomas grew up attending the Boys & Girls Clubs in his hometown of Spokane, Washington and chose to donate to the organization because of his childhood ties.

Yeah, that's pretty awesome to do that for his new community. Especially before he's even played a single minute for the Suns. It's refreshing after Bledsoe's "me me me" behavior and seeming inability to show gratitude towards his team or community even after a year of being here.Xylus wrote:http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2014/ ... ith-school

Agree. Starting to really like the guy already for the person he seems to be off the court. Not enough athletes involved in the community on a regular basis. Whether they like it or not, they are role models for a lot of kids and young adults. It's hard to not like a guy like Isaiah Thomas.Xylus wrote:http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2014/ ... ith-school

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

"When I was growing up, we didn't have nothing like this," said Bledsoe, who played his collegiate basketball at Kentucky. "I just wanted to give back. As far as popularity, I'm not worried about that. I just want these kids to have something to look forward to."
The point guard for the Phoenix Suns said he was peppered with questions from the campers.
"I just walked in and they want to know, 'How is it playing in the NBA?'" he said. "I tell them what it takes to make it. To give these kids this kind of wisdom, it means a lot to me."

Suns front office has said over and over again how pleased they are with Eric as a person and as a basketball player. I am sure they are sincere. He seems to be a great guy.AmareIsGod wrote:Though to be fair...

That is why this situation is so mystifying and frustrating.

I really think it's his agents fault, unfortunately. He has the wrong people in his ear and it's killing him by the day.

The Suns have one of the tougher schedules this year. OKC and the Clippers have the worst.

I think last year or two years ago one of the front office guys at the Pacers was talking about how tough the Pacers' schedule was. Larry Bird picked up the schedule, looked it over and said "41 home game, 41 away games...looks about right to me."
