Thanks for the link. I can only take so much of some of these people. They go on and on. How many people have to talk before they take the vote? All these people should have written statements that the board reviews beforehand rather than making people sit through all of this.JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 3:47 pmCity Council live stream: https://www.phoenix.gov/phxtv?FilterCat ... ive+Stream

They even allowed Larry Naman to speak, the man who shot former councilwoman and county supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox (who had already spoken and was sitting right there). He bragged about shooting Wilcox over her Diamondbacks vote in 1997, then threatened the current council, saying that voting in favor of the deal would be the equivalent of an act of bloody violence. As far as I know, the police did not remove him from the room, even after his threats.Superbone wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 4:48 pmThanks for the link. I can only take so much of some of these people. That's crazy. Why is this man not in prison?JeremyG wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:05 pmThey even allowed Larry Naman to speak, the man who shot former councilwoman and county supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox (who had already spoken and was sitting right there). Apparently he spent about 12 years in prison and is now free. http://www.sonorannews.com/archives/201 ... Naman.htmlSuperbone wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:23 pmThat's crazy. He's a nut job and should be under psychiatric care somewhere; but then again, Mary Rose Wilcox was about as crooked a politician as you'd ever find.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 6:31 pmIt was never not going to pass.

Exactly.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:29 amAnd as for Bender, he sucked in summer league, sucked in preseason, and sucked in the few minutes he played early in the season. It’s easy to say now that we should have played Bender more, but he has been absolutely awful outside these last two games. Maybe he’s turned a corner, I hope he has, but let’s not pretend like we’ve been burying this bender on the bench all season.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!
PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

Re: Suns News: Week 14 1/14-1/20
The way I and most people see it I think is that we are missing a PG and a PF. We have been playing two SF’s together all year. If we can add Bender to the mix and he can actually continue to be aggresive and play like he has the past couple of games, we could play him as a PF or BU center and have Holmes play PF alongside Ayton. It seems worth a try. Not like we would miss the playoffs because of it. That would add height, rebounding and hopefully more defense.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

At least we have the team in Phoenix for 25 years, so that we can live through pain over and over again. Great news for our pain loving souls.

That speech from the guy who shot Wilcox is terrifying. That is a direct threat. He should get arrested for saying that, given his past behavior. He literally directly referenced shooting a lawmaker over a law he didn't like in the past and then pointed out that he also didn't like this law.
Re: Suns News: Week 14 1/14-1/20
Agreed. I don't know whether he left the room before the vote or not, but I think some reporter said that he was still sitting there after his speech. A former councilman speaking later said that the police should review the tape to see whether he had made a threat.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 1:56 amThat speech from the guy who shot Wilcox is terrifying. Pretty gutsy for her to vote Yes after this wacko's threat.JeremyG wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 3:05 pmAgreed.
