KP is a great talent but is always injured and huge (bad combo). NY got rid of their bad contracts and now have 2 max slots for the FA lottery, while this I guess takes Dallas out of discussion for big FA signings. The picks traded are a few years away, and the uncertainty cuts both ways (especially with one being unprotected). Smith is still a solid prospect. And KP is already talking about taking the qualifying offer.
Just read that he's informed the Mavs that he's not going to become an RFA & that he'll play on the QO. His agent is awful. Coming off a huge injury you take that guaranteed money.

Would you swap booker/Ayton for doncic/porzingis... Not sure I would
i'd trade booker for doncic. doncic and ayton would be a great pair.
If the Suns can't pull in a decent PG (Holiday, Irving, Ball), they're really not trying.
Gut tells me they'll end up with either Nikitilina (who's even worse than the guys we have now) or Rozier, who isn't much of an improvement over Melton.

Problem is that the deal they seem to be looking for is something like Bender or worst contract for Ball(or insert any pg) and a couple of 1sts.

Supposedly Utah and Memphis are discussing a Rubio-Conley swap
I thought Utah was the ideal place for a guy like Conley, interesting.
Ya I think he makes a lot of sense there. I live in Utah and jazz fans are not very excited about it though. They don’t like giving up their capspace. Not sure who they think they can sign that’s better than Conley though.

If Porzingis were 100%? Yes. For sure.
That wasn't the question though.. And contracts count. If they are all locked up and KP is healthy I agree it's very tempting. I think Ayton has huge upside still his shot is solid and none of these guys are great defenders

Noooooooo! I hope we get Rubio from Utah. Send those guys a future 1st and TJ Warren and call it a day!
After watching Utah get roasted by the Blazers, I’m not keen on Rubio anymore. He did nothing but throw ill advised passes and tried and failed to probe the defense. Lonzo looks better as a defender and passer right now. I’m also over Rozier. I think we either go for Ja in the draft and sign a veteran like Rose or Lin as their back up. Or we nab Conley on the cheap for Warren + pick + expiring trash and draft Zion. I think we’re in the top 2 of picks this year.
Nabbing Conley might be a good move, but he will not be "on the cheap." No matter what we give up for him, he still has that huge contract. And while I'd love Zion, we have like a 14% chance of getting him. Tankathon says we on average will get the 3.9th pick, so you should think of it as most likely to be the #3 or #4.
sorry, wasn't trying to pour salt on any open wounds. Saw all the KP talk in here and didn't get to the other thread before posting this.
Apparently Gambo came out & said that we offered them #4 and both Miami picks ahead of the draft that year & NY turned it down. So Woj has some of the facts but he's off a bit. I imagine that came directly from Sarver.
