Suns win in OT and the Ducks win the P12 title. Dana Altman is a fucking gypsy.
Kenny Wooten is the next Richaun Holmes.

I like Tyler Herro as this year’s Huerter. He has a little Booker in him.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
This Murray St./Marquette game is the most I've watched of Morant in live action. I really like his energy and intensity. He's going to have some growing pains, but I see a lot of upside if everything goes well. I'd be happy if the Suns selected him.

I think I'm OK with going in to next season with Johnson/Morant/Melton as our PG rotation, provided we can upgrade the 4 in a big way.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 3:33 pmThis Murray St./Marquette game is the most I've watched of Morant in live action. 15/15/10 right now with 4 minutes to go...he looks impressive
Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
I'm starting to warm up to picking Morant instead of trading the pick, if we get the number 2 pick. His turnovers still concern me a little bit, though.

I’m ok with the turnovers...young pg’s are gonna turn the ball over. Do you think Ja could start as a rookie? I still think we’d need to get a vet...or keep Tyler Johnson around

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
I'd have to see him in Summer League and pre-season, but my hunch now would be for him to start the season coming off the bench behind Johnson. Although, he looks to have the talent to push into the starting lineup as the season progresses.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
He could probably start. A cheap vet might work in case he's not quite ready to handle the full responsibilities of leading the team at point. I would want to make sure we spend most of our cap space on signing and/or trading for a PF, though, if we draft Morant.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
fletcher magee was outstanding individually last season. this year, wofford is on a 21 game winning streak. i'd open up a roster spot for him.
Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
next game tyler herro vs fletcher magee
Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
Yeah, same here on the TOs. I expect that even from good young PGs. Here is a list of guards with over 800 TOs by their Year 23 season.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
Come on Indy, you know better than that. Obviously players with 800 total TO by age 23 are players who play a lot before age 23, and those are generally impressive players. The list of young players with high turnover rates is considerably less impressive (and does not include Booker!).

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
I really love Morant. I was debating with myself earlier, "If the Suns got the #1, and the Bulls got the #2, would I trade the #1 for the #2 and Markkanen?" I don't know, but I would think about it a lot. I love Zion and think he's going to be a good player with a long, great, career, but I think Morant can be a guy who elevates a team to championships.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft Thread
That is a funny idea for a trade. If we started all of:
Morant
Booker
Markannen
Ayton
That would be a horrendous defensive team. But that's a lot of firepower, too. You probably have to keep Zion if you get the #1 pick (a trade like that, if it fails, can crush a franchise). But it's at least a fun idea to think about.
