I think a lot of people forget how good the Ws are and can be, even without Durant.
They are one of the greatest teams ever, but they were playing without two starters who have been All-Stars, one who is an MVP-level player.

If Houston can't beat them at home under those circumstances, they're kidding themselves if they think they had a shot to beat a healthy Warriors team.

The Warriors had lots of contributions from guys other than their stars. Iguodala, Looney, Livingston, Bogut, etc. had good games. I think their ball movement is a lot better, way more passing and sharing and cutting, when Durant isn't playing. Not at all saying that they are better without him, but he definitely does chuck a lot of shots and hog the ball. Bad habits learned during the Westbrook/OKC days that have not totally gone away.

I think Houston had many chances to close out this game. But they kept playing that stupid iso ball. I'm glad it failed, so it will discourage others from trying it.

I said since last year that the Celtics young core was HIGHLY overrated. Got a lot of flack by Celtic fans and casual NBA fans, but turns out I was right all along
I don't think the issue is the young core. I think Kyrie is a loser. Him and LeBron were a great pairing in that they covered a lot of each other's weaknesses, but when you hand him a team, it isn't going to get you very far. Also, incorporating a Gordon Hayward who was severely diminished due to his injury had a negative impact on the team.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!

PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

You're right, it was a bit of hyperbole. At the same time, many "experts" and Celtic fans annointed them as a 67 win team that was going to represent the East for the next 8 years, with a young core filled with HOFers and MVPs.

Bill Simmons is the only one who said stuff like that and he's a ridiculous, unapologetic Celtics homer.

I bet on them to go over 59.5 wins, but I also expected Tatum and Hayward to be better this year.

It's a little surprising to see how mediocre Mirotic has been for Milwaukee.

It wasn't just Simmons. A lot of my animosity toward them comes from annointing Brown and Tatum so early while denigrating Booker in the process.

So Blazers vs Warriors in Western Finals. I think the series could be a little interesting without KD...warriors should still win, but I think blazers can get a couple games. If KD plays, it could be a sweep.

It’s so frustrating watching Embiid not dominate down low. It’s like watching rookie Ayton all over again.

That was fucking nuts. I feel bad for the Sixers for having to stomach that one.

The degree of difficulty on Kawhi’s shot was very high.

Kawhi's is the first one to happen in game 7. Historic shot.

that was just a ridiculous ending to the game. Good for Toronto. I don't think there is a single player in Philly I root for.

I believe Jordan hit the only one where his team would have been eliminated with a miss.
