Booker slogs down the entire offense and can't throw an entry pass. I hate watching him walk the ball up and pound it.
Exactly...

I heard they went to Lubbock to see him workout at Texas Tech recently.

Here's hoping White gets nabbed by Cleveland.

Face it folks, White is our new PG. (If we’re lucky, backup PG.)
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Hope?

https://clutchpoints.com/nets-rumors-st ... -brooklyn/

"ESPN insider Stephen A. Smith says NBA execs are telling him star small forward Kevin Durant will probably end up with the Brooklyn Nets this summer.

...The Nets have cap space to sign two max contract players and could land both Durant and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving."

Translation...opens up talks for Spencer? Fingers crossed...

Kind of the main issue with having the draft before free agency...would we draft a PG if we know we have a legit shot at either DLo or Dinwiddie? If FA were before, all the KD/Kyrie/Nets/Rubio/Collison etc stuff would be sorted and then we could use the draft to fill a bigger need (PF). As it is, if we take Clarke or Hunter at 6 and strike out in FA with PGs, we're stuck again.

You can run into a problem either way. What if we sign a pg and plan to draft a PF, but PG’s are all the best available players on the board?

I feel like free agency gives you more directions and flexibility, so I like having the draft first. Pick the player you like best and then fill holes in free agency.

That article is old. Brooklyn traded 17 to Atlanta

Gambo is really talking up white. I don’t see why anyone would prefer White to Garland, but I’m no expert.

He plays fast, is a bigger guard, can help with rebounding and better defender.

I don’t actually see all of those things. He’s a little taller, but he’s got short arms. His overall size is just slightly bigger than Garland. Small sample size, but Garland out rebounded White. Even if it’s not legit, White isn’t some great rebounder, he averaged 3.5 per game as a freshman. Maybe he’s a better defender, but neither are being drafted for their defense.

Both are scoring guards. Garland is significantly better as a shooter/scorer off the dribble. I wouldn’t sacrifice that for slightly better defense and rebounding.

The logic here makes sense to me. They are hoping a team outside the top 7 trades up for Garland. If no one offers anything satisfactory then they will take Coby White because they will not be taking another Klutch Sports client right now - and I don't blame them.

That makes sense...feel like Deandre Hunter might make more sense though.
