I just don't have a handle on what we're doing tonight. Like some kind of plan must be in place but I don't get it.
I think we are just hoping...

They're valuing experience and shooting over everything else including guys with higher ceiling IMO. I don't hate the Ty Jerome pick, infact I kinda like it but I fear what we gave up. I can't defend the Johnson pick at all. PJ Washington would of looked good as would of clarke.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Trade wise...I hope we don’t give up anything other than the Mil pick. Haven’t heard what we’re giving up yet

Ty Jerome is a super smart player, very good shooter and outstanding decision maker on the floor, high bballiq

Won't mean anything if he can't matchup physically. Overall, I worry about our speed and athleticism.

And if you said we needed to add hard working, smart basketball players that can hit 3s at 40% I would agree. I just don't see how the moves we made today is helping.

From the Kyle Guy article regarding Ty Jerome:
The criticisms of Ty Jerome sound very similar to what was being said about Steve Nash pre-draft:

"Steve’s biggest weakness is his man-to-man defense. His average foot speed makes him an easy target for small, quick point guards to blow by. His lack of physical strength does not bode well for handling the bigger, stronger point guards in the NBA in the post."

"Not slow but not quick, improving but still a poor defender, had trouble getting his own shot against quality opponents. Played in Canada and thus is still adjusting to the level of play in the US. Sometimes Nash forgets what’s a good shot and what’s not."

"Another kid you have to like, late first rounder who could move up, the comparisons to Stockton are skin deep, nowhere near as quick. Has to improve his defense, played a lot of zone in college which could hurt him in the NBA."

Is it fantasy to compare Ty to Steve Nash? Maybe a bit, but I think he has that ceiling. And someone who had similar "limitations" somehow ended up as a 2-time MVP and in the hall of fame. If he gets to the right team, I think he makes a run at ROY.

I guess I might fall under the optimist bracket when I post during the season and I didn't even have a player I was attached to for the draft.
I seriously just wanted at the end of the night for the board not to be losing their minds and as a fan base for us to see something positive.
Sighhh

Jones clearly going in on players who can shoot and play right away.

Booker/Oubre/Saric/Ayton
Jerome/Bridges/Johnson/Baynes

No non shooters in the group. How we use our cap space is big.

Edit: Throw Baynes on there...eating up cap space...

5 more million gone--depending on what we gave up--or was this part of the last deal?
