RICH PAUL Appreciation Thread

Post by INFORMER »

Suns owner Rich Paul

VISIONARY. PIONEER. MOGUL. CONQUEROR.

For an entire offseason, he was questioned, doubted, mocked, ridiculed, jeered, and assailed. But his resolve never wavered. And now? Vindication.

The offseason was long anticipated by fans, front offices, players, and media alike. We originally thought it would be a time bombastically by the King, LeBron James. But a different king arose, more subtle, more calculating, more resolute.

As a fan, you yearn for excellence on the court and in the front office. At times, though, you are left unfulfilled. But what this fan has learned, that sometimes excellence shines forth in the most unlikely of places: the negotiating table. True, Rich Paul is not a Sun player or executive. But the Suns, the team I love, were party to Paul's triumph, a display of excellence that I will always remember. As an integral part of the process, the Suns became an inextricable motif in Paul's narrative of success.

As Suns fans, we have every reason to celebrate Rich Paul. He helped to make Planet Orange that much brighter. He has returned the Sun, the Moon, and the stars.

The 2014 Offseason belongs to Rich Paul.

Rich Paul, thank you for being a light in dark places, when all other lights go out.

Rich Paul didn't do shit. Both sides compromised. This could have been accomplished months ago.

Trollin'? Try celebrating.

True, I deserve some criticism. I'm hopping on the bandwagon after the championship has already been won. I'm a little ashamed by that. When things weren't looking good for Rich, and everyone was piling on, I remained silent. I will always regret that. But I'm trying to make up for lost time.

No such thing when it comes to celebrating.

But perhaps I am overcompensating because of my tardy appreciation. I don't feel good about being late to the party, but that won't stop me from trying to enjoy myself.
