Guys, are we sure Luke Walton is a good coach?
His offense looked like garbage as soon as Hield stopped hitting every shot and his rotations were questionable. Trevor Ariza played 21 minutes.
I think he's still eating off of that successful stint with one of the greatest teams of all time.

Yep, that’s what makes this feel different from last year. Against Dallas we got hot from 3, and even Ariza was playing well.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 9:56 pmBest part is Suns did this while struggling with their shot in the first half. It wasn’t just a fluke game raining 3s
This year, shots weren’t falling, especially in the first half, we turned up the D in half number 2 and that was huge! Feels good right now!

No clue...I’m pretty indifferent on him. Would not have been excited if he was the coaching hire. I like Monty better.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 9:58 pmGuys, are we sure Luke Walton is a good coach?

Same. I think we have to give Monty credit for the halftime adjustments.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 10:01 pmNo clue...I’m pretty indifferent on him. This is going to sound ridiculous, but I also really like a timeout he called in the 4th when we were up about 15 with 6 minutes left. It was a perfect timeout to get everyone focused on the last push to put the game away, and they did just that.

Good to see another 25 point blow out at the TSR with Igor involved

I was not expecting 10 assists from Booker, even with a point guard...who got 11 assists!
Zero free throw attempts for both Ayton and Booker...other than the missed technical at the end for Booker.
Certainly not the best we could have played, but good enough for a 29-point win.

That's the best possible way to start the morning here at 5 a.m.
I will be smiling all day long remembering Ayton's stare at Hield

I’m not really into the Igor hate. I’m not upset that we moved on, think this team needs a guy like Monty, but I feel bad for Igor. I don’t think last year was his fault. We set him up to fail unfortunately.

Wow, what a home opener! It’s only one game but, what a game. They played some defense and the bench looks like it is going to do some serious damage this year. I sure hope this isn’t a fluke. Only time will tell. As good a start as you could ever hope for.
virtual’s prediction doesn’t look so crazy now.

What an amazing game. This one didn’t have the same flukey feel as last years. We were up double digits and Devin only had 13 points. When’s the last time we could say that?
All of our new guys made great contributions. Rubio is going to be fantastic for the development of our crew but especially for Ayton. Baynes made his impact felt immediately. Only one game but I think we won the trade off of Holmes/Baynes.
Even in the first half I think we outplayed them. Buddy was nuclear and we couldn’t buy a 3. I kept saying if we could just hit a couple of these 3s we’re gonna blow the doors wide open.
That was the most fun game I’ve been to since....probably last years season opener. We’re gonna shock the nba fan base this year. No more lolsuns.

And looking back the first pages, it’s funny how so many posters were ready to jump off the cliff and started piling up on people. We are going to need more patience with this team, I know it’s been forever, but we are still a work in progress, specially with so many new pieces. There’s going to be more lapses like that first half, but hopefully even more like the second.
Go Suns, now let’s do this 81 more times!!!
