Dig this little gem from Marcus in the final article about the extension :
Marcus said Markieff's cut should have been higher. He also said they were not willing to wind up with different teams in free agency next year.

We should've low balled them. 6 for Markieff and 3.5-4 for Marcus.

Also, and it's still way early to tell what the grand plan is (insert Inf's comment here), but we seem to be doing the "team" thing, with a system based around team guys, a spread/balanced attack with no "superstars". Seems like Hornacek's style given how he played, his personality, and the moves we've been making. Even last year, you had the feeling we were like a college team, with guys just having fun and playing for each other. Out of that, guys have to emerge (Dragic, Bledsoe) if the team is successful. I'm not saying it can't work, but the personnel really has to be right. We'll see how it ends up.

There is no way Zoran is outplaying TJ Warren for minutes and we are already stacked at the 3.

Any talk of Warren at the 2? Could be somewhat interchangeable with Tucker and Green?

I could see him going to the 4 before the 2.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Ideally, you want your 2-guard to have range beyond 12 feet.

He's to slow of foot to guard 2 guards. Like mentioned above, he would play the 4 before the 2 espcially in this system.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Agreed. Actually, that's something I wanted to see in the summer league. Warren-Miles and Miles-Len.

$13 million/yr and two roster spots is a lot to invest in a power forward who is a mediocre rebounder and vulnerable defensively in the low post.

^^^^^^This.

I understand the cap will probably lift somewhat but we really are paying for a sub quality player just to keep his 'ok' brother happy.

$13 per for a better defensive 4 and we'd all be happy, and you get an extra roster space as well.

I trust in McD and coach H, I just can't see the bigger picture unless Markief improves significantly this year.

Well it seems like the team is set up to score big from the 1-3 position big time. Especially from dragon, bleds an it (like 60 ppg combined ) I think Green, tucker Marcus averages 20 ppg combined so we really only need like 25 or 30 pogo from the 4-5 combined so it will be defense and rebounding. I think it's the chemistry and you could joke brotherly love to carry us to the top. It seems they are becoming more family chemistry orientated which might just work see the spurs for that example.
