Richaun Holmes this year is shooting 66/83 and 13pts/g
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Anyone interested in kicking the tires on Dewayne Demon? 3-point shooting big who plays good defense and can rebound... 30 YO, three year contract at $13M per year. Probably can slide over to PF. He made a trade demand from Sacto a few days ago.

[*]Would the Kings want to trade with a playoff rival? Most teams wouldn't, but Sacramento's management is inscrutable, at best.
[*]Dedmon had a good year last season with Atlanta, so the talent is there.
[*]What could Suns offer that the Kings would want?

I'd swap him for Frank but that's really it.

He wants out for more PT I believe. He’s not going to get that here
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Dedmon isn’t necessary with Baynes and Ayton both here. He wouldn’t be happy filling the Kaminsky or Diallo roles. That’s why he wants out of Sac Town.
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Speaking of trades, I’ve heard the Clippers want Baynes. Was that trade mentioned on here, there was a Zubac for Baynes trade rumor...hinted that there would probably need to be a 3rd team as suns wouldn’t want the long term commitment to Zubac with Ayton here.

Baynes provides some intangibles the Suns have not had in years -- a vet from two solid organizations.
He knows what winning looks like.

Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Ya I’m not really interested in moving Baynes. We’d have to be pretty out of the playoff race for me to consider it. And I wouldn’t move him for Zubac. Zubac signed a 4 year deal this summer. He can’t play with Ayton. Too much money and years to commit to a backup center who’d be playing 12-15 minutes a game at best.
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
I was thinking about this as a means of getting assets from Sacramento. I'd only have marginal interest in Dedmon the player, and his contract is ugly- especially considering we'd move Tyler to take him on and that's our one high-salaried expiring chip to play. Dedmon's not someone it's worth cashing it in for.
Now, if we could flip Tyler and Frank for Dedmon and Bogdan it gets a little more interesting. We'd have matching rights on Bogdan and have to see him as a key part of our future and be willing to commit significant money to him when he plays a position at which we're set.
I'd probably pass altogether.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Not interested in Dedmon or in trading Baynes for Zubac. Baynes has been great for us. We should keep him around if at all possible.
Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
He said Ayton needs time to develop as a big man. That most big men do not have the aggressive attitude to dunk all over people, with a few exceptions, Shaq being one. He seemed pretty sure Ayton will develop into something like that. He basically said Rubio is day to day depending on how he reacts to treatment.AmareIsGod wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:49 amCan't listen. In meetings. So Rubio may or may not play tonight? Do I have that right?

Re: Suns News: Week 10 12/30-1/5
The only reason you trade Baynes is because you’re not confident that he will re-sign with the team so you want to get an asset for him so you don’t lose him for nothing.
I am not confident that he will re-sign. I think he is going to get paid and get paid a number the Suns aren’t comfortable investing into a 33 year old who is going to be 34 next season. At the end of the day, I think his influence on Ayton will be immense, so unless it’s absolutely “Wow omg” offer, I prefer to keep him for the year.
